From Eurweb.com
If the shady legal system is not the move this weekend, there’s the charmer, “Pieces of April,” [/li][li] starring Katie Holmes as a tough but vulnerable young woman living in a rundown New York apartment and desperately trying to cook a Thanksgiving dinner for her estranged family. April’s Mom (Patricia Clarkson), Dad (Oliver Platt), Grandma, brother and sister deal with family issues during their drive into the city, while April encounters one obstacle after another trying to prepare the big meal. “I so enjoyed the moments when April had to ask people for help and kind of open up. She wasn’t planning on people caring about her and she didn’t count on having people be affected by her. It hit her all at once.”
Derek Luke stars as April’s boyfriend Bobby, who rolls around the city on his scooter trying to find a nice, but affordable outfit to impress his girl’s folks. Bobby and April’s relationship goes for sweet, but it’s the film’s weakest link. Many of Bobby’s obstacles are not believable, and Sisqo as his hustling best friend is way over-the-top. What makes the film worthy of your money is Patricia Clarkson as April’s terminally-ill mother reluctant to mend fences, and actors Lillias White and Isiah Whitlock Jr., who play an hilarious couple helping April hook up her Thanksgiving feast.
“Pieces of April” is rated PG-13.

I'm hoping it will make it to U.K cinemas so I can see it, but a lot have said that it's an independent film so it mite not make it over here .
