UM, I heard that this album that Dru Hill is working on will be theit last album together. I know that they all have solo projects, but ppl making it seem like this is tha last time that they will all be on one album as one group. What's really good?

Well, anything can happen, but if this new album doesn't do all that hot, you probably won't see another Dru, at least not in this form or at Def Soul. Jazz's album, despite his singing capabilities, will probably do a flop. I hate to say it, but the thing is public perception. Jazz's image, unforunately, isn't going to sell. So, I don't think that any solo albums from any of them would help bring Dru Hill as a group more fan base, if thats what you're getting at.

I don't know. Where did you hear that from? I wouldn't be surprised if it was their last album (for a while) after the next one. They are still young, but they probably will do some separate things. But I am hoping that this next album does well. But if it doesn't, I think they don't have to do another album with DefSoul. I hope they run like h*** from DefSoul and go to another label and regroup. I agree with you on Jazz's album, Chris. That's why I think DefSoul is dragging their feet on releasing it. Kelly Price's album didn't do that well, and maybe they feel that Jazz might be put in the same catergory. I only hear that song with Jazz and Jill Scott (from the Rush Hour 2 Soundtrack) on adult contemporary stations. Jazz probably will be put in that format if (according to that article)he has an old school type of record. If he gets played on mainstream stations, it might be the same length of time as Dru's songs. It would be a shame if all their talents went to waste, but knowing them, they'll use it in another format. This may be off topic, but my sister told me (and I saw on 106 & Park) that Timbaland wanted to quit the biz for a while, because he feels that the music out now is repetitive and there is nothing that stands out now. (I'm just paraphrasing.) Now justmaybe, the way he feels may want him to morecreative with Dru and take them to another level. Does any body agree with that?

Me! ;DI think he's going to make his beats sound better cuz he's retaring.I honesty don't think it's there last album.I raed the questions on there web site and nokio said they would probly put another one out but expect the unexpected.Than again, that was back in janurary. .I really hope that desn't happen.I wish everybody gave dru love the way we do but i guess nobody see's that there really talented. In the words of drusweetheart:nobody can do what dru do.I want another album from dru,i want them to be out at less to i'am 23,even if nobody surports them.I know we will. That's not going to be far if they treat j(jazz)like that. His image souldn't matter at all.Jazz is one of the best singers and he has the abitlity to sell a bunch of albums. His voice is awsome and his image shouldn't stop him.We all heard frages like "don't jude a book by it's cover"or "it's the inside that counts".Jazz is a GREAT singer ,he's funny,he's talented ,nobody can't beat j at all.Just cuz he's not skinny people souldn't hate.I'm not skinny either and he's like a role motel to me.Man,j can do anything he put's his mind to.Plus,he doesn't give a flyin' f*** about his weight. He's a bless man and we sound love him 4 that.WE"RE FAN'S RIGHT?no need to hate.Jazz is such a beautiful person and juss cuz his weight doesn't mean he can't sell record.JAZZ CAN SELL MORE RECORDS THAN BOBBY BROWN.I know i would love to have a boyfriend like jazz. ;D

Ppl got mad love for big guys. And the fact that he can truly blow, gives him one up. It's a matter of how he's promoted and what feel his music gives off. I'm being optimistic here. but not every1 knows who a "jazz" is. so if they get a good song to do well on the radio b4 even building up hype on tv with commercials or anything, he just might be able to do well simply cuz the song was hot. as for Tim, it just might mean he's gonna do more working with Dru cuz it's best to go out on top than to go out with a flop. and you know music is like a reflection of the producer(s). His name is gon be on that, so ain't no way he's gonna do crap.

Chris is right. Even though people love the big guys, Jazz is on a very s***TY label who would probably won't do any promotion and Jazz has to do it himself. After this one they're going to release Dru can be freed from that awful defsoul. They signed a 3 album contract. But Sisqo is still signed with them for a X amount of solo albums. Jazz could have done the same thing. But even if they left Defsoul, which other record label would take them? The only record label without a group would be Bad Boy. At least I don't think Puff has any groups signed to his label.

What about Making The Band 2 hahahaahaa! Oh people, just see where this goes and don't listen to rumors. But um, Dru will fail if there isn't enough promotion. Promotion is everything.

If any of you are relating Jazz's possible success to that of Ruben's (which will do poorly most likely as wel), there is a bit difference. He was on a nation wide television show that was watched by millions of people for several weeks getting his singing abilities out there. When you do that, you are airing it to the people that both care about either image or singing. You'll see that his album sales will be a smaller portion of the actual viewers of the show. Those are the people who care about singing. Simply because he was on nation wide television, he was able to convey his abilities to all of those people. Jazz is working on a much smaller scale. When there is a radio advertisement or tv commercial, the entire nation won't be watching it at that moment. So, he's going to be getting even a much much much smaller fraction.

P.Diddy (I think) is still linked to 112 and he supposedly signed New Edition to Bad Boy. So maybe J Records or somebody else will sign them. This is off topic, but Scola and Woody were down at the Black Family Reunion (on the mall in DC) yesterday. I was p'ed off because I was down there. A friend of mine called me when I was already home and said that they were on the radio. I was standing right next to the radio's trailer for ten minutes. I asked her what they said and she said she was too busy screaming to hear it. Sooo they are home, but what they are doing, I have no idea.

J records may not take Dru cause they have Next but when's the last time you heard something from Next? P diddy kinda owns 112 the name and he produced some of their tracks off their album. Otherwise its in Defsoul's "wonderful hands!" I'm trying to think of other record labels out there that would sign them.

I think that Dru HIll will do great on the next joint! I think Tim will lay it down just like he does ALLLLL the time. With Justin Timerlake & Allyiah those songs are kinda slow so he can do slow songs well.. and we all know what Tim can do on club beats.. so this will be off the hook..
As for Jazz.. big guys do well.. his voice will shine. Everyone in the group thinks Jazz is great and they said that when they need a note they ask Jazz for it.. so he is a great singer.. things will be ok .. (I HOPE)
back to the group.. as long as we as fans support them by buying the cds.. (NOT BOOTLEG) requesting the music on air.. calling in to the video shows.. as long as we let them know we want to see/hear them.. they will do just fine!

As 4 Jazz's album (or any other Dru album) Promotion is key! It seems as if Def Soul doesn't know the meaning of the word. I don't get that label but somebody has a big problem with representing people with real talent. I was just watching a VH1 special last nite about how Def Jam screwed Joe Buddin! He was crazy upset about the way they were promoting him. This company just don't have a clue. Joe Buddin is good (IMO)!!! If Dru does have 1 more album hopefully it will be their LAST with def soul! nuff said on that! As far as Timbaland..i saw the 106 and park with GinuFINE on it and they asked him what he thought about Tim leaving the biz. Ginuwine flat out said Tim is NOT going 2 leave. He said Tim has 2 much stuff that needs 2 be put out there. He not leaving anytime soon.
