"You're what?!" yelled Sisqo.

He couldn't believe what he was hearing, but it made sense. Everything was starting to make sense.

"I said I'm married. Well was married, the divorce is final now." said Temple nervously.

A couple of months have gone by since that wedding night. That kiss although passionate lead to nothing.

"Wait, stop," said Temple, "Look I really like you and believe me I want to do this, but I think we should take things slow."

"Okay, I don't want to pressure you," said Sisqo, "We can do this whenever you're ready."

Temple wanted Sisqo, she wanted him bad but she was still legally married. She didn't want to do anything until her divorce was final.

About a month later everyone was at Temple's house for a barbeque. Temple and Sisqo had already introduced their friends to each other. Maya and Scola hit it off pretty well. By this time they were dating.

"So your saying that it's been a month and y'all aint had sex yet." said Nokio.

"Damn, I don't see how you can do that." said Jazz.

"Yeah, I'm trying to be patient but I'm starting to get that itch." said Sisqo.

"I mean y'all aint daing," said Nokio, "Why don't you call up one of your old girls?"

"Cause I don't want to start that up again," said Sisqo, "And I don't want to go into this relationship keeping that from her."

"Speaking of relationships," said Woody, "Why is it that Maya and Scola hooked up before you and Temple."

"Yeah, y'all were talking longer." said Scola.

"I'm ready," said Sisqo shrugging, "But Temple keeps hesitating."

"Hesitating?" asked Woody.

"I don't know either, I just know that I'm ready to be with her but she keeps pulling away." said Sisqo.

He didn't know what was going on. All he knew was that he was ready to be with the girl of his dreams but she, for some reason, didn't want him back. But he knew someone who did.

"Keisha called me." said Sisqo.

"What do she want," asked Nokio, "I mean y'all aint talked for a while and now she just up and calls out of the blue."

"She was basically saying she made a mistake by letting me go and she wanted to try and work things out." said Sisqo.

"Man, don't do that, " said Scola, "What about Temple, Maya told me that she really cares about you."

"#1, i didn't say that I was going back, and #2 if she cares so much, why is she stalling. What's holding her back?" said Sisqo.

"What he didn't know was that the girls were in the kitchen discussing exactly what was.

"You haven't told him yet!" said Niecy.

"Girl what's wrong with you?" asked Lani.

"I don't know, everytime I want to tell him, he does something so sweet and I can't." said Temple pacing.

"Scola tells me that he really wants to be with you." said Maya.

"I know and I wanna be with him too but y'all know my situation."

"Then tell him." said Niecy.

"I am soon, I just don't know how soon it's gonna be."

"Look, you can't start a relationship based on a lie." said True, stirring a pot of beans.

"I know and I don't want to, why do you think we're not together yet."

"Scola said that Sisqo thinks you don't want him." said Maya.

"I do want him, I just gotta get my s*** right first."

"You and Scola sure do talk about Temple and Sisqo alot." said Niecy laughing.

"Well, she's my girl and Sisqo's his boy. We're concerned," said Maya giggling, " I mean we hooked up be fore they did, we see that as a problem."

"That is kinda weird." said Lani.

"We don't always talk." said Maya grinning.

"Uh-huh, we already know about you two and y'all little sexcapades." said True.

"Well, what can I say. If it's good, it's good." said Maya.

"What's up with you and Jazz?" asked Temple, her mind finally off of her situation.

"We're cool, I mean we've been talking and flirting alot." said Niecy.

"Girl you better get that Teddy Bear." said Lani, nudging Niecy.

"I'm trying, what about you and Wood?" asked Niecy.

"We're still trying to get to know each other." said Lani.

The girls continued to go on about the guys, Each talking about how sweet each of them were. By the end of the month, only True and Nokio hooked up. No one knew they even cared for each other.

But for Sisqo there was still a problem, his friends were getting their girls but he still hadn't got his.

"Why didn't you tell me?" asked Sisqo.

"I didn't know how." said Temple.

"This whole time, the whole time I cared and wanted to be with you, you were married."

"I care and want to be with you too, but it was hard to tell you."

Sisqo became quiet, Temple just sat and watched him pace the floor. She hated that she hurt him but she had to tell him. She stood to hold him when he stopped but he moved away.

"I can't be here right now, " said Sisqo starting to leave.


"Will you call me later?" asked Temple following him to the door.

"I don't know." said Sisqo walking out the door, slamming it in her face.

"Damn, she's married." said Nokio.

"She was married, past tense." said Sisqo.

"So that's why she's been hesitating to get with you." said Woody.

"Yeah."

"I wonder why Maya never said anything." said Scola.

"True didn't tell me either." said Nokio,

"I wouldn't think they would, seeing as how Temp is their best friend, " said Jazz, " I mean y'all wouldn't tell them something about Sisqo."

"True." said Nokio and Scola in unison.

"What are you gonna do?" asked Woody.

He was staring at Sisqo, who had his head in his hands.

"I don't know." said Sisqo.

"Do you still care about her?" asked Jazz.

"Yeah, more than she knows."

"He still hasn't called?" asked Niecy.

"No and it's been a week." said Temple.

"So you think doesn't want anything to do with you?"

"I don't want to believe it but he hasn't called so hey, what else can I believe."

"I'm sorry for you girl, but hey your single now, and you're pretty, you'll find someone else."

"I want him but I guess this is what I get for lying."

Just then the door bell rings.

"Hold on, let me get the door."

"Okay."

"I don't know who it could be, I'm not expecting anybody."

"It's Publisher's Clearing House, your todays big winner." joked Niecy.

"Shut-up." said Temple laughing. It's the first time she's laughed all week,

When she opens the door, a man is standing there holding a bouquet of flowers in front of his face. When he lowers them, Temple instantly became shocked.

"Oh my..." said Temple filling with amazement. So much so she almost drops the phone.

"Temple, Temple, who is it?" asked Niecy.

"It's...it's...it's Sisqo."
