DRU HILL TOUR CANCELED DOWN UNDER: Not enough tickets sold. *This has to be a very humbling experience for a group of brothers that sold out arenas regularly here in the good ol' US of A. Of whom do we speak? None other than Dru Hill.
The guys had to cancel their Austrialian tour that was slated to start this week. They were to play Syndey, Melbourne and Adelaide, but had to can the damn thing due to poor ticket sales.
A statement from the promoter and Universal Music reads "Bounce Entertainment is saddened to announce the cancellation of the Sisqo & Dru Hill concerts scheduled for Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide from August 2003. Regretfully, ticket sales did not reach forecast levels resulting in Bounce Entertainment in conjunction with Papafella Entertainment Inc, canceling the tour." EURweb.comAwwwwww. Well, everyone suffers a setback at one time or anotha. The good thing is that Dru are talented and with their set fanbase they will continue to be the best. But I think they should headline a US tour for a while before goin' abroad (makin' sure to stop in North Cackalack along the way! )

Well Dru can't expect to get sold out concerts all over the world but.. they could do one BIG US/Canada tour in the fall. Even though there's only like 4 cities in Canada they would go to. MTL, T.O, Van city and ... calgary. Yes Calgary. That little town called calgary. At least they have a strong fan base in North America and in Europe. And maybe certain parts of Asia.

They have fans there but most likely not enough. The fanbase in Australia is smaller than certain all of the US. They really can't do anything about it.

I read on the DruHillLive board that somebody from Australia posted that the arenas seat 4,000 or more people! Whoever put that tour together should've considered the fact that Dru is not that known in that part of the world. They should've did little spots. But it' s obvious that someone was looking at $$$ instead of using common sense! The article is making them seem like failures, but they promoters should'nt have booked them for arenas in the first place!

That's really retarded! I was ASSUMING they were doing a club tour over there. No man, management is not doing their job at all.
