Ashanti Makes Short Film Dedicated To Domestic Violence
Ashanti has teamed up with acclaimed video director Hype Williams to create a mini-movie version of her 'Rain On Me' video, which stars the singer and actor Larenz Tate. The film is dedicated to exploring the issues of domestic violence and abusive relationships. 'Rain On Me' will be available through the lidrock.com website, in return for a $5 donation to The Family Violence Prevention Fund. "We wanted to make a short film that was real," Ashanti said. "No matter whether you're rich or poor, black or white, famous or not, domestic violence can touch your life."
