"Oh my God! I'm gonna have a lil' girl!", Shauna sighed as she covered her mouth with one of her hands. Tamir was holding the other one as they walked out of the doctor's office. The doctor had just finished doing a sonogram when it was discovered that the baby was a girl. Shauna had been hoping for a daughter all along.

"Awwww, man! I'm gonna have a daddy's girl!", Tamir grinned as he helped Shauna climb in his ride. He proceeded to take her back to her job. After dropping her off, he decided to go share the news with his friends.

Shauna had been working on a monthly report for about an hour or so when her phone began to ring.

"Shauna Hastings.", she answered.

"Shauna, my love! It's me, Santiago! I'm back in the states! I returned late last night and I noticed that you have moved out!", Santiago stated in a surprised tone. "Please forgive me for walking out on you! Can we start over?"

Shauna was speechless for a moment before answering. "No, Santiago! We cannot start over. But I do need to see you at your earliest convenience."

"Okay, well how about tonight over dinner at our place?", he sadly asked after hearing her answer to his question.

"At YOUR place! And yes I'll be there, but at what time?", she dryly asked.

"7:00. Bye, Sean.", he replied.

"Goodbye.", she stated.

As soon as her brief conversation had ended with Santiago, Shauna called Tamir.

"W'sup!", he answered.

"Hey, 'Mir. Listen, I juss got a call from Santiago. He is back in the states, and I asked him if I could see him tonight because I want to tell him about the baby. I juss wanted to make you aware of what's goin' on. 'Mir, did you hear what I juss said?", Shauna asked. The only thing she heard was the fellas laughing and talking in the background.

Tamir cleared his throat. He began to have doubts about what Shauna had just told him. "Yeah, aight. Well, that's coo'! After all he does deserve to know about the baby. Well I guess I'll let you go.", Tamir stated while struggling to keep the sadness out of his voice.

"Wait, 'Mir! Baby, look...I want'chu to know that nothin', not even Santiago, is gonna come between me, you, and this baby.", Shauna reassured Tamir as she gently rubbed her six-month tummy. "I love you and only you!"

"I love you too, boo! And don't worry 'bout me. You juss handle your business with him, aight?", Tamir stated with a nod of his head. "See ya lata.", he whispered.

"Aight, bye.", Shauna replied.

Santiago had everything set up for a romantic dinner with Shauna. He prepared her favorite dishes and he had her favorite singer’s CD, Jaheim, softly playing from the stereo.

"Maybe she'll have a change of mind if she sees how hard I'm trying to show her that I've changed.", he thought to himself after he made sure that everything was in place. A few minutes later, his doorbell rang.

"Shauna...!", he grinned as he flung the door open. Then he took a look at her new shape and gasped in surprise while stepping back to take a better look at her.

"Hello, Santiago.", she stated as she stepped inside his home.

"Shauna? What's going on?!", he asked as he followed her inside.

Quickly turning around after seeing what he had done to the place, she answered him. "I wanted to let you know that this is your baby. I could've told you months ago, but you chose to call it quits and leave me while travelin' on the otha' side of the world without any contact."

"My baby? I'm going to be a father?", he asked as a grin spread across his face. "Oh-ho-ho! What a wonderful surprise, Sean!" He quickly made his way over to her to hug her, but she stopped him.

"Not so fast! I wanted to let you know that I moved on with my life, like you told me to, and in the process of doin' that, I met a wonderful man who has happily accepted to be a father to this child. But I'm not sayin' that you can't be in the baby's life.", Shauna replied.

"I cannot believe this! You'd rather have someone else be a father to our child?! How can you do this to me, Sean?", Santiago angrily stated as he glared at her.

"I'm not doin' anything to you, Santiago! It was your choice to leave me instead of tryna be there for me. When I found out I was pregnant with our child, you have no idea how much it hurt me not to be able to share the news with you. I felt all alone but then my new man reassured me that he would be there for me and the baby. So it's your own fault for leavin' me behind without a clue!", Shauna stated as tears began to fall from her eyes.

When Santiago didn't have anything else to say, she decided to leave. "Well, this is all I wanted you to know. And like I said, I'm not tryna keep you out of this baby's life because you can see her wheneva you'd like. However, she and I have someone else that's goin' to share his life with us."

"Her?", she heard Santiago faintly ask as she headed for his door. She stopped and turned around to look at him.

"Yes, it's a girl.", she smiled at him when she saw the smile slowly spreading across his face. "Well, I should be goin' now. Bye Santiago." She didn't wait to hear him say goodbye as she closed the door behind her.

"So did you call and invite him to the baby shower?", Danaysia whispered when Shauna stepped out of her den for a moment to go into the kitchen.

"Yeah and he said he'd be delighted to come. I juss hope everybody else feels that way when he shows up.", Cherelle whispered back.

"Truss that you did the right thing, Cherri. Santiago has a right to attend the shower. After all it's his baby.", Danaysia replied.

"But you know that the guys aren't gon...", Cherelle started before Shauna came walking back into the den.

"I hate that I agreed to bake 'Mir some brownies.", Shauna stated with a shake of her head as Cherelle helped her back down into her rocking chair. "This walkin' back and forth is gettin' to me!"

"We told you that we could check on those daggone brownies for ya, but noooooooo, you still wanna be a busy body. You know you need your rest with yo' hard-headed self!", Danaysia sighed while smiling.

"Yes, mommy dearest!", Shauna spat as she stuck her tongue out at Danaysia.

"Girl, yall need to stop!", Cherelle giggled while waving her hand at her two friends.

"She started it!", Shauna whined as she pointed her finger at Danaysia.

"I did not!", Danaysia whined back before she and Shauna both burst out into laughter.

"But nah, seriously, Sean, Danni is right. You need your rest no matta how much you love that man of yours.", Cherelle replied.

"I know, but I promise that after this time, no more extra work for me.", Shauna grinned as she placed her hands on her tummy. The baby was beginning to move around. She called Ru-Ru over to her who had been playing with a toy he had received from his doctor's appointment earlier in the day. Shauna knew how big a kick he got out of feeling the baby move. He quickly ran over to his aunty. The minute she told him to touch her stomach he began to giggle and squeal the minute he felt the baby kick.

"Danni, you know you and Ru need to give this boy a lil' brotha or sista'!", Shauna joked.

"I sure would love to.", Danaysia bashfully smiled.

"Are you fo' real, girl?!", Shauna asked as she looked at her friend with widened eyes.

"Yup. I juss haven't brought it up to Ru yet.", Danaysia replied.

"Oh my God! Do you know I'm havin' the same type of feelins too! Mark and I have been talkin' about it, but we still haven't actually tried to start on one yet.", Cherelle smiled.

"Get out!!! I know yall are not ready for no babies?!", Shauna laughed. She noticed that Ru-Ru had decided to sit on the floor and play with her fuzzy slippers.

"It's your own fault though! You juss had to have a baby!", Cherelle joked while shaking her finger at Shauna.

"So if I decide to jump off a bridge, yall would do that too?", Shauna laughed.

"Very funny!", Cherelle replied with a roll of her eyes.

"I know right!", Danaysia laughed as she nodded her head in agreement.

"Well, in either case, I think it's coo' that yall wanna have kids. ‘Mir and I have talked about havin' one of our own when this baby is at least a year old. I don't wanna space my kids too far apart.", Shauna smiled.

"Gon' and tell the truth, yall juss wanna get your freak on as soon as this baby pops out!", Cherelle winked with a devilish grin.

"Now we didn't even have to hear all that!", Danaysia laughed. When she looked over at Ru-Ru, he was lying across Shauna's feet. He was almost asleep. "Lawd! Look at my baby! He has fallen in love with those shoes of yours!" Danaysia went over to pick him up off of the floor and laid him on the sofa where he took a nap while the girls continued to talk.

As Rufus was coming back from the bar with a drink, he checked out a cute lil' waitress in a short dress that walked past him. However, he didn't know that his boys had seen him doing that until he reached their table. Before Rufus could sit down, Larry brought up what they had just witnessed. "You can put your tongue back in yo' mouf now!", he laughed.

"Wha'?!", Rufus slyly grinned.

"Na, don't even try it! I'm juss glad Sean ain't here because if she was, she’d get mad and prolly jump on that girl!", Tamir laughed with a shake of his head. "She's a lil' self-conscious since she's not that chick's size anymore because of the baby."

"Danni's the same way, but she know I love her baby phat! And anyway I won't payin' that girl back there no mind!", Rufus grinned.

"Man, whateva! Yo eyes was comin' outta yo head!", James laughed.

"Please! That girl wasn't my type. Danni is because her baby phat went to all the right places.", Rufus replied with a wink while taking a sip of his drink.

"You ain't neva lied about that, man! Danni's onion is like 'pla-dow'!!!", Larry replied with a devilish grin as he opened up his arms to exaggerate his comment.

"Not to mention those...", Mark began as he placed both of his hands to the upper half of his body while describing Danaysia's top portion. "Man, 'Mir...you gon' have fun wit' all that stuff once the baby comes!"

"Man, you betta watch yo' mouf! Don't talk about our girls like that!", Tamir warned while nodding his head across the table at Mark.

"Isht! Come to think of it, yall been checkin' out our girls a lil' too much!", Rufus huffed. "Yo, 'Mir...remind us not to leave them alone wit' these sorry @$$ nas in the future!"

"Aw man...don't nobody want them!", Mark joked with a wave of his hand. "Besides, I'll have my own stuff to work wit' since Cherri and I have been havin' a serious conversation about havin' a baby." A slow smile spread across Mark's face.

"Fo' real? Man, that would be somethin!", James grinned as he reached across Larry to give Mark a pound.

"Yeah, man. I mean, we been together for quite sometime now and we both decided that we're gonna try and go for it.", Mark replied with a nod of his head.

"That'll be coo'!", Tamir agreed with a smile. "Now all we have to do is convince James and Larry here to do the same."

"Don't look ova here! I ain't ready to cross that bridge yet!", Larry laughed with a shake of his head.

"Ditto!", James chuckled.

"Awww man, wouldn't yall like to see and hear some lil' feet runnin' around the house?", Rufus laughed.

"You mean like that crumb snatcher of yours?! Man, please! I ain't got the patience!", James chuckled. "If I want to hear lil' feet runnin' around my house, I'll get Sara a lil' dog or somethin'!"

"You are stupid!", Larry laughed. "But you right about that though!"

"Hey, boo! Where you at?!", Mark shouted when he walked into the den and didn't see Cherelle.

"I'm up here!", she replied from their bedroom.

"W'sup. You and Danni finished preparin' for the shower for this weekend?", Mark smiled as he flopped across the bed.

"Yeah, juss about.", Cherelle softly replied while sitting in front of her vanity mirror brushing her hair.

"What's wrong?", Mark asked as he sat up on one elbow to look across the room at her.

"Oh, nothin'.", she sighed. She was trying to bring herself to tell him that she had invited Santiago to the shower.

"You sure 'bout that, ma?", he asked while studying her reflection from her mirror. He could see in her face that something was wrong.

"Yeah, but...", she began as she turned around in her chair to look at him. "...if I tell you somethin', you have to promise not to get mad wit' me." She gave him her puppy dog eyes that he could never resist.

"Nah, girl...w'sup?", he asked as he began to sit up on the edge of the bed.

"I invited someone to Shauna's shower.", she replied as she turned her back to him. She proceeded to quickly run the brush through her hair.

"Who?", Mark asked with a shrug of his shoulders.

"Santiago.", she faintly replied. Mark didn't quite hear her response.

"Who you say? I couldn't hear you, girl.", Mark replied.

Cherelle loudly cleared her throat. "I said Santiago!"

"I know you didn't juss say who I think you said?!", Mark barked as he quickly stood up.

"Mark, you promised you wouldn't get mad.", Cherelle calmly replied as she turned back around to look at him.

"Yeah, but that was befo' you said his triflin' @$$ was comin'! And why in the he!! did you do this for anyway?!", Mark demanded to know.

"Because no matta how much of an @$$ he has been, that's still his child that Sean is carryin' and he should be a part of every event surroundin’ its life.", Cherelle replied as she stood up. She proceeded to walk over to Mark and take a hold of his hands. "Wouldn't you want the same type of respect if you were in his shoes?"

"That ma don't deserve no dn respect! He left yo' girl hangin' for cryin' out loud!", Mark barked with anger-filled eyes. "And did you forget about 'Mir bein' there?!"

"No I didn't forget! But I felt like this was the right thing to do...so sue me!", she huffed as she turned her back to him.

"I'm sorry, c'mere.", Mark stated as he pulled her by the arm to make her turn around to look at him.

"Nah, you've made me realize that I've made a mistake.", she replied with a trembling voice. She felt like she was going to cry at any moment. She thought she had done the right thing, but maybe she had made a mess.

"No you didn't, boo. You're full of compassion and that's one of the things that drew me to you. I'm sorry for blowin' up like that, aight?", he smiled when she did turn around to look at him. "If you did this then I'm sure you've done the right thing. Now c'mon and let's get started on 'attempt #1'.", he stated with a devilish grin.

"Okay.", Cherelle giggled as they settled in for the night.

Rufus climbed into bed beside Danaysia and proceeded to wrap his arms around her as she flipped through a magazine that she really wasn't paying any attention to. Like her girl, Cherelle, Danaysia was thinking of a way to come clean with Rufus about who would be showing up to Shauna's shower. After all, she was partly responsible since she agreed with Cherelle that it would only be right for Santiago to attend. Danaysia had become so deep in thought about this matter that she hadn't noticed Rufus placing kisses on her neck as he pulled her closer to him. However, when he noticed that she wasn't responding, he spoke up.

"Danni! We have this room all to ourselves tonight and you'd rather read?", he asked with a puzzled look as he leaned forward to look in her face. But she continued to pretend to read her magazine.

"In a lil' while, Ru. Can't you see I'm readin'?", she dryly asked. He took the magazine away from her.

"So, what's so interestin' about how to get rid of fleas from your pet?", he asked in a somewhat frustrated tone.

"Maybe I was thinkin' about gettin' a puppy for Ru-Ru!", she huffed as she snatched the magazine away from him.

"I know you lyin' so w'sup?", Rufus asked as he pushed the magazine away from her hands.

"Mannnn...it's nothin'.", she replied with a shake of her head. "Well, I'ono; I need to tell ya somethin' but I don't know how to say it.", she replied. "It's about Sean's baby shower."

"What about her baby shower?", he asked as he sat up beside her.

"Well, Cherri and I felt like someone needed to come that others may not approve of.", Danaysia stated while making sure she didn't look at Rufus.

"Who?", he anxiously asked.

"Shauna's ex.", Danaysia replied as she finally looked over at Rufus.

"You mean Santiago?! Why yall go and do some isht like that for, Danni?! He's the last person that needs to show up!!! What were yall thinkin', man?!", Rufus demanded to know.

"Because he's the father and he has a right to be there. That's why we did it!", Danaysia loudly stated.

"That may be true, but did you two stop to think about how Sean or 'Mir will feel about him bein' there?", Rufus asked with a shake of his head.

"Well I guess we didn't.", Danaysia replied as she looked out into space. "Ru, we were only tryna do the right thing. We don't wanna cause any trouble. But that's Santiago's child that Sean is carryin'. Besides, Cherri said he was more than happy to come when she asked him." Danaysia turned her head back around to look at Rufus.

"I know.", he faintly smiled as he lightly stroked the side of her face with the back of his hand.

"Isht! We messed up, huh?", Danaysia asked with a worried look.

"Nah, you two have good intentions. Who knows maybe this will work out for the best.", he smiled as he leaned over to kiss her. “Now I need to ask you somethin’ else.”

“What?”, Danaysia smiled.

He slowly picked up the magazine from her lap. “What’s the real reason behind you flippin’ through this baby book?” After realizing what he asked, he gave her a surprised stare.

Danaysia began to giggle when she saw the look on his face. “Well, since I’m puttin’ err’thang out in the open, I might as well go on and tell ya that I wanna have anotha’ baby.”

“I thought you said you didn’t want anymore in the near future.”, Rufus stated as he propped his head up on his hand while looking at Danaysia.

“Yeah, well when I had Ru-Ru durin’ the time that you were about to head out on the road, I felt like I couldn’t handle motherhood all by myself. But after I had him, my family and friends were there from the jump to help me out until you came back. Although…I enjoy your helpin’ me out with him the most, daddy!”, Danaysia grinned as she threw one of her legs and arms across him. “You and our baby are my world, Ru.”

“You know that yall are important to me too, Danni. But, are you ABSOLUTELY sure you wanna try for anotha one?”, he chuckled. “Don’t forget, you were ready to knock my @$$ out when you were havin’ him.”, he teased as he proceeded to wrap one of his arms around her shoulder while resting his other arm on her hip.

“Shut up!”, Danaysia giggled as she leaned down to kiss him. “That was my excruciatin’ pain talkin’!”

“Aight, well no sense in wastin’ anymore time!”, Rufus laughed as he reached over to turn the lamp off.

"So did you like your brownies?", Shauna smiled as she came downstairs to sit with Tamir in the den. She had just finished taking a shower.

"Oh, ummm...I ate so much at the bar tonight that I don't have room for anything else.", he smiled as he put his arm around her shoulder when she sat next to him on the sofa. "They'll be waitin' for me tomorrow."

"You mean to tell me I waddled back and forth to that kitchen for you and now you're not gonna even eat ONE of 'em?!", Shauna replied with an angry look as she glared at Tamir.

"But if I consume too much suga, I won't have room for yours, boo.", he winked with a sly grin.

"Don't try to patronize me.", she chuckled while pointing her finger at him.

"I'm not!", he laughed.

"Yes, you...", Shauna began before he started giving her quick pecks on her mouth, face and neck.

"Aight, well maybe you can!", she giggled as she threw her arms around his neck.

"Wait, hol' up, 'Mir!", Shauna giggled uncontrollably as they continued to kiss each other.

"I can't stop now!", he chuckled in between even more playful kisses as they began to lie back on the sofa.

"You're smashin' the baby for Pete's Sake!", Shauna laughed uncontrollably while trying to push Tamir away from her.

"Oh, isht! I'm sorry, girl! My bad!", Tamir laughed as he quickly backed away from Shauna.

"I didn't say that you had to jump to the otha' side of the room. Juss lemme get myself situated here.", she lightly giggled as she moved onto her side on the sofa. Tamir came back over to her and proceeded to lie down behind her so they could cuddle up together to watch tv.

"This is betta.", Shauna sighed as she placed her hand on top of Tamir's hand that was resting on her 6 month tummy.

"So, what did you and the girls do tonight?", he asked as he placed his chin on her shoulder.

"Ohhhh...nothin' much. Juss had our usual girl talk about the baby and stuff. What about you guys?", she asked.

Tamir almost made the mistake of making a comment about Rufus' wandering eyes, but he quickly caught himself. The last thing that needed to happen was to let some news like this get back to Danni. She would clock Rufus for sure if she found out. "We talked about the same ol' type of guy stuff.", he chuckled. "And watched the boxing match. It wasn't much of a fight though since ol' dude got knocked out in the 2nd round. So we juss pretty much chilled and ate and drank. Our normal Friday night ritual."

"Shauna! Girl, where you goin?!", Cherelle exclaimed when she stepped out of her car and saw Shauna walking down the steps of the front porch.

"I was on my way to Danni's house. Why, is somethin' wrong?", Shauna asked with an anxious look.

"Oh, nah.", Cherelle replied with a shake of her head. "I'm juss glad that I got here in time. You feel like runnin' with me to the store real quick? I was on my way ova to Danni's too, but she asked me to pick her up some juice and ginger ale. I could save you a trip."

"So why did you stop by here instead of goin' straight to the store?", Shauna chuckled while staring at Cherelle.

"Oh, well, uhhhhh...I thought I would come holla at'cha real quick since the store isn't too far from here. Now do you wanna ride wit' me or not, girl? Stop askin' so many questions!", Cherelle smiled.

"Yeah, I might as well.", Shauna replied with a shrug of her shoulders as she walked over to Cherelle's ride.

"Whew! That was CLOSE!", Cherelle thought to herself as they made their way to the grocery store.

"Ru!!!!! Please come get your son!", Danaysia yelled from the kitchen as she, Denise, and Sara were preparing the last of some food and drinks for Shauna's baby shower. Ru-Ru kept sneaking over to the table to stick his little finger on the cake to taste the icing. "Ru-Ru, please stop.", Danaysia begged. After calling Rufus a second time without any answer, she finally picked her baby up to carry him back into the den.

"I know you heard me callin' you!", she huffed as she placed Ru-Ru on Rufus' lap. However, Rufus and Larry were acting out of control while playing a video game against each other.

"No I didn't! Girl, I'm busy tryna beat this boy's @$$!", Rufus replied while keeping his eyes glued to the set.

"Yeah, whateva! Juss try to keep him in here, please!", she sighed as she began to make her way back into the kitchen.

"Bye, mommy!", Ru-Ru giggled as he climbed onto the sofa to sit next to Mark.

"Bye, bookie!", she smiled when she turned back around to wave at him.

"Do you think Cherri got to Sean in time?", James asked Tamir while they watched Rufus and Larry playing.

"I hope so.", Tamir replied with a nod of his head. "I think she's wisin' up to somethin' goin' on though."

"Man, what'chu expect? She's a female! They always know when somethin's up!", Mark grinned.

"True that!", Larry agreed.

A few minutes later, Sara quickly made her way into the den to announce that Shauna and Cherelle had just pulled up in the yard. Once they were inside, they were greeted with a big surprise.

"No wonda you kept me from comin' here earlier!", Shauna giggled as she tightly hugged Cherelle.

"Well, girl, I was juss doin' what I had to do!", Cherelle grinned with a shrug of her shoulders.

"Everything looks so nice.", Shauna sighed as she was hugged by everyone.

"C'mon, mama and take a seat.", Tamir smiled as he helped her sit down in a chair. "You stay here and I'll go make you a plate." Before leaving her side they shared a quick kiss.

"Awwww...ain't dey key-ute?!!!", Larry chuckled as he made room on the sofa for Denise to sit next to him.

"Leave them alone, boy!", Denise giggled while slapping him on the knee.

As everyone sat around eating, laughing, and talking, the doorbell rang. Cherelle and Danaysia both looked up at each other and so did Rufus and Mark. However, no one moved. The doorbell rang a second and third time before James spoke up. "Yall need me to get it?", he chuckled.

"Uh-uh...it's aight. I'll get it.", Danaysia nervously replied as she slowly stood up. The doorbell rang two more times before she reached it. She heard someone quickly walking up behind her. It was Cherelle. "Girl, if you don't hurry up and open this door, they're gonna notice somethin' is wrong!", she whispered through clenched teeth.

Santiago was about to leave even though he saw all of the cars parked in the driveway and in front of the house. However, just as he was about to turn around and walk back down the front steps, he heard the door open behind him. When he turned back around, he saw Cherelle standing there with an awkward smile on her face.

"Hey, Santiago. Welcome back.", she replied.

"Thank you, Cherri.", he smiled. He slowly made his way back up the steps.

"Come on in.", she stated as she held the screen door open for him. His hands were filled with a huge gift. Once he stepped inside the foyer, he saw Danaysia.

"Hello, Danni. It's good to see you again.", he stated with a nod of his head.

"Thanks. You too.", she nervously smiled.

"Is somethin' wr...", Tamir began as he stepped out into the foyer to see what the hold up was. His question was answered when he saw a man standing in between the two girls.

"Hello. I'm Santiago Ramirez. I don't believe we've met.", Santiago smiled while looking at Tamir.

"Santiago? THE Santiago?", Tamir asked in a shocked tone. However, before waiting for an answer, he quickly turned around and stomped back into the den.

"I'm sorry. Was it something I said? I don't want to cause any trouble.", Santiago replied when he saw Tamir's reaction.

"No, it wasn't anything that you said. That's Sean's boyfriend though.", Cherelle matter-of-factly replied.

"Ohhhhh...well maybe I should leave.", he replied as he sat the gift down near the stairwell.

"You are not leaving. We invited you, so come on in.", Danaysia replied as she waved her arm for him to follow her into the den.

"He's here?! Are you sure it's him, 'Mir?!", Shauna whispered with widened eyes.

"The na told me who he was!", Tamir hissed. Just then, Danaysia walked into the den followed by Cherelle and Santiago.

"Before you say anything...this was all our doin'.", Cherelle stated as she went over to stand beside Shauna who stood up with Tamir's help when she saw Santiago. The look of shock and anger on her face made it obvious that she didn't appreciate him being there.

"'Mir, we felt like he deserved to be here because this is his baby. He even bought a gift.", Danaysia stated when she saw how upset Tamir looked.

"Cufk a gift! Who asked either of yall to invite his @$$ ova here?!", Tamir shouted.

"Wait a MINUTE!!! You in my house so don't you get all loud wit' me!", Danaysia shouted back while pointing her finger at him.

"I got this, Danni. Go sit down and cool off, aight?", Rufus stated as he moved her out of Tamir's way.

"I got this, nothin'...!", Danaysia snapped as she tried to walk back over to Tamir.

"Why don'tcha go check on the baby?", Rufus calmly asked as he placed his hands on either side of her waist to make her turn away from Tamir.

"Aight.", she huffed as she made her way out of the den.

Rufus then turned back around to face Tamir. "Man...I know you're upset, but the girls are right. If he was willin' to come ova here, I think we should give him a chance.", Rufus stated with a shrug of his shoulders.

Meanwhile, the rest of the girls and guys sat in silence and disbelief.

"No, I understand. I just wanted to show my face to let Shauna know that I want to be there for my baby. Enjoy the gift. Nice seeing you all again. Goodbye.", Santiago quietly stated as he turned around to leave.

"Nah, man! Hol' up for a minute!", Rufus stated as he shook his head at Santiago who had turned back around when he heard him. "Listen', 'Mir...man, you gotta learn how to get along with him because he's gonna be there regardless."

Tamir threw his arms up in the air and shook his head as he walked back over to Shauna. Upon taking both of her hands, he asked if she wanted Santiago to stay. She nodded her head yes.

"Could I see you out in the hall for a minute?", Shauna asked as she made her way over to Santiago.

"Sure. Excuse me, everyone.", he replied as he followed her out into the foyer.

"I guess I'll go apologize to Danni.", Tamir quietly replied as he headed to the downstairs guest room where Ru-Ru had been taking a nap.

"Aight, that's coo'.", Rufus agreed with a nod of his head.

"Dn.", Mark stated with a shake of his head as he stood up to go check on Cherelle who had excused herself to head to the kitchen with Sara and Denise behind her.

"I agree with the girls and Ru...dude has a right to be a part of everything involving the baby.", James whispered as he glanced over at Larry who quickly agreed with him.

"You aight, Cherri?", Mark asked as he went over to hug her. He noticed that Sara and Denise were both consoling her as she cried.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I knew this was gonna be an awkward situation, but I didn't mean to make everybody upset.", she sadly stated as she and Mark headed back for the den to join everybody else.

"It's gonna be aight.", he smiled as he placed his arm around her shoulder.

Meanwhile, Tamir was in the guestroom apologizing to Danaysia who was sitting in the windowsill while watching Ru-Ru taking a nap in the middle of the bed.

"I accept your apology, 'Mir. Cherri and I were juss tryna help. We didn't mean any harm.", Danaysia replied.

"Nah, yall have made me undastand that he does have the right to know about his child.", Tamir smiled as he took a seat across from her in the windowsill. "But dn...I didn't know how much I pissed you off! Ru saved my life that time!", he joked.

"Man, shut up!", Danaysia giggled. Just then they heard Shauna loudly cussing and fussing in the hall.

"I can appreciate the fact that you wanna be there for the baby, but yo @$$ don't have the right to ask me about my personal life! That's none of yo dn business! You gave up on us a long time ago!!!", Shauna shouted as everyone came out into the foyer to see what was going on.

"What's wrong?!", Tamir shouted as he came to stand beside Shauna while glaring at Santiago.

"It's nothin'...we're coo'. I was juss gettin' a few things off my chest...and...and...oh dn!", Shauna sighed as she began to fall back into Tamir's arms. She had become dizzy and was about to have a fainting spell.

"Oh no! I'll go call the ambulance!!!", Denise exclaimed as she ran to the hall phone.

"No! I juss need to sit down for a minute.", Shauna replied as Tamir helped her to a chair.

"Are you sure?", Santiago asked as he ran to her side.

Tamir shot him a nasty look. "Boo, are you sure you're gonna be ok?"

"Yeah, the doctor told me it was normal to feel this way from time to time.", Shauna faintly smiled while looking up at him.

Mark came running to hand her a glass of water. "Here ya go."

"Thank you.", she smiled as she took a few slips from the glass.

Cherelle noticed Santiago heading for the door while the others crowded around Shauna to make sure she was okay.

"You leavin' so soon? You juss got here. I think you juss need to give Tamir a lil' time to warm up to you.", Cherelle smiled as she ran to stand in front of him.

"No, I really must be going. I think I've done enough for today. But thank you for inviting me.", he stated with a nod of his head. "Tell everyone that I said goodbye."
