Well, I picked up my copy of Splinter Cell for the GameCube on Thursday. Hmm... it is a pretty mediocre game. It's very original, but it doesn't really keep drawing me back for more. One thing it really does is piss me off and frustrate me. The whole trial and error thing does add a lot of length to the game, but it becomes tedious for someone who dismisses the idea of "avoid using your gun" and then they run out of bullets before they actually need them. The graphics are nice. From an average view, they are smooth and somewhat lifelike. However, when the camera closes in, you can see how polygon'ed Mr. Fisher is. Lighting effects are amazing (though, nothing that hasn't been seen before). Voice acting is above average but nothing spectacular, and the storyline is great. The CG scenes are nicely rendered, but they don't match half the greatness of RE, for example. *Thinking* Well, that's all my ranting for today. I really enjoyed the oil rig level. At the beginning, I got the experience that I was hoping for when I first bought the game. You can just sneak around and try to find your way in without having to worry about pesky guards and your light meter. I keep playing that one and the training over and over, lol. ;D

LOL--My pops bought this one last week and he has been cussing the game out everytime I go to see them. He said he can't stand how he runs out of bullets so fast. I told him not to get his blood pressure up about it because it's just a game. I, personally, suck at video games like this though; I am better at playing the wrestling/fighting type of games.

There is barely ANY ammo lying around. You actually have to go out of your way to find it.

The game is sorta like real life. Its just like Ghost Reckon. You don't have infinite amounts of ammo. At least you liked SOME levels in the game but you have to realize, the will look different from other machines. It looks amazing on the XBOX, average on the PS2 and in between on the gamecrap. *Ubi Soft is a montreal based company so I know a lot about them* Since they used Softimage XSI to model the game they won't subdivide the characters as much because the polygon count will go up. Obviously you won't enjoy the game if it takes 5 hours to load or if its trying to load during the game. Anyway...it still got a 9.6 on 10 as one of the best games on the XBOX.

In plain and simple english so that you'll understand, There's a lower polygon count for the characters for slower systems so it can load faster! Thats why the character looks blocky!

Calm down, sheez. I thought that the two sentences were related since you combined them with the conjunction.
