I'm sorry if this isn't Dru related, but I'm just excited to tell you guys I'm going to Regionals in Albany! I'll be going in two weeks...right now we need a lot of fundraising. But that's covered, 'cause a friend of ours from New Ro had donated some money to Hershey's so that we'd get a head-start! I believe we should start fundraising sometime this Monday or Tuesday. Will keep up to date! ;D

My cousin, she's thirteen, is a cheerleader, and if I'm not mistaken, they are going to the regionals here, too. There also going to nationals in March and they are going to Disney World or something...

That's cool! Sadly for me, I'm not able to go to Disney World for another competition 'cause I am a senior in the high school I go to. But it sure is fun1 ;D I wanna take a picture of me in my cheerleading uniform! I'm actually very excited to go to Regionals b/c I wanted to do back handsprings, and my coach will let me try doing it by myself without having him to spot me as much! ;D

I hope your team does well and get the money they need. When I was in high school, we had a 'ghetto' cheerleading squad. There were only five or six on the squad and the always got booed when they performed. LOL

Are you dead serious?! We have fifteen girls and the reaction from the crowd all depends on how much we practice the routine. BTW, we lost the sectionals to Mount Vernon! But what the heck...I still got my cheerleading to do and I'm not gonna step out of the team!

I'm dead serious! It's been a while since I have been in high school and I don't know how it is. My brother goes to the same school that I went to now. They are probably the same way. Didn't nobody wanna go out for the squad for whatever reason.

Truth is...we used to have 20 girls in my squad. Eight new members (with the exception of one) and 12 veterans (expeirenced). But after a month, one of the new members had to move out of town, so she had to leave but with good reason. Then we were stuck with 19 girls. When we were practicing for another part of cheerleading...the manager felt it wasn't in her heart to do cheerleading...but also she had too many events gougn around. So then we were stuck with 18. Then after one of our games, one of my captains and two of the new cheerleaders left the team. So now we have 15 girls.
So now we're struggling to get the new routine written up, and hopefully be ready for Regionals this weekend!

UPDATES!!! I came back from Regionals last night...and it was the greatest experience to be in front of the whole Northeast region...and I think being broadcasted....yesterday! My team was put into medium varsity (not those evil divisions again!!! ) but I think we did "better than our best" (quote from my favorite coach! ) and we placed 10th place in the medium varsity. Now we have two trophies (first one was from New Ro...we won fourth place for small varsity) and this is the end of my season! But one thing's fur sure...I will miss being a cheerleader!

Drulady, it's okay you don't notice things...I don't notice certain things myself...I'm a slow person.... Anyway...thanks for all the congrats! ;D And if the college I'm going to has cheerleading as an activity, I'll continue on with the cheerleading 'career'....otherwise...I might be going to community college first before I know where exactly I want to go. But I want to keep up with the cheerleading.

Just so you guys know that cheerleading season has already ended with the Regionals last month, in case of some of the newbies don't know this, but one of our cheerleaders planned a party for our squad. That's good, 'cause I was planning to read a little farewell notw to my squad, since I'm the only senior in my squad. So I'll let you know if I'm going, and when I say I'm going, how the dinner went. BTW, the letter one or our cheerleaders sent us, was a picture of us during regionals and I think we were about to do the flatback thingy (the flyer in the middle doing flatback, and the two flyers left and right of her are "stepping on her back")...and yeah! ;D
