Russell Simmons: "KFC Doesn't Do Chickens Right!"

RUSSELL SIMMONS BOYCOTTS: KFC on the hit list.

*Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons is madder than Spike Lee at a Klan rally.

Simmons has joined with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to improve the treatment of chickens by boycotting KFC. In a letter to the CEO of Yum Brands, who along with KFC, owns Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, Simmons speaks out for the dear yardbird.

"What KFC does to 750 million chickens each year, on your watch, is not civilized or acceptable, and you can change that," wrote Simmons. "I am calling for a boycott of all KFC restaurants until my friends at PETA tell me that you have agreed to be kinder in your practices."

Simmons appeared in a full-page ad in The Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky, where KFC is headquartered.

In response to the boycott, a spokesperson for Yum Brands stated that they are not the ones that slaughter the chickens. They just buy, sell, and cook them.

I mean really russell you can't take it wit ya when ya go, and you are so much for hte advancement Of blacks. I mean yeah your yearly contribution to UNCF is greatly appreciated but why not create scholarships for kids that wanna go into you and Kimara's filed of work?
