Dior Shoe Sales To Benefit Aaliyah Memorial Fund Aaliyah is being remembered by the Christian Dior Couture fashion line. In honor of the late R&B singer, the company is donating profits from the sales of the new Dior Sport Shoe to the Aaliyah Memorial Fund from August 1 to August 10.
In addition, Dior hosted the "Dance For Life" benefit for the fund last week in the Los Angeles home of music legend Quincy Jones. Damon Dash, Missy Elliott and Aaliyah's relatives were among the celebrities and loved ones of the singer who were expected to attend the event.
Aaliyah died in a plane crash in 2001 at age 22. The fund was established in the wake of her death to provide help for the charities that were important to her. Beneficiaries of the fund include the Revlon/UCLA Women's Breast Cancer Center, the Sloan Kettering Memorial Center for Cancer Research and the National Breast Cancer Coalition. Launch.comThis a great and wonderful way to remember our beloved Aaliyah. I'm sure she's proud of the way her memory is livin' on. R.I.P. Baby Girl!
