PHILLY MAYOR STOPS RAPPER FROM PERFORMING: Mystikal ain't showing nobody what he's working with.
*According to allhiphop.com's Nolan Strong, rapper Mystikal was prevented from performing in a play in Philadelphia by the city's mayor. Spokespeople for Mayor John Street, said because of Mystikal's recent guilty plea to rape charges, he wasn't a good role model for children.
It's not clear what action the mayor took to prevent the rapper from performing at the Dell East in Cordell Moore's "Something She Can Feel."
The cast of Moore's traveling stage play is headed by actor Leon along with Lavan Davis, Bill Hill and Charlie Wilson of The Gap Band.
Ironically, Street is involved in his own drama, the site also reports. At a recent block party the mayor praised a man who has a record for dealing drugs.
"If there's anybody out there who, whether you're involved in illegal activity or not, if you want to start a business, we'd like to help you," Street told the crowd.
The man Street was apparently referring to, Edward "Joe Joe" Terrell, 42, has been arrested for selling heroin, marijuana, crack and assaulting police officers. He recently opened a T-shirt store. EURweb.com
In no way am I condonin' what Mystikal did, but if the Mayor felt that he shouldn't be a part of the play, well then he should've done the same with the drug dealer that he praised. My philsophy is "what you do for one person, you should also do for the other". Mr. Street loses cool points from me on this issue.

What was the big deal anyway, it's just a play.....he had just too much time on his hands.

More like lack of a brain, I mean how are you gonna uphold one criminal and then look down on another? A criminal is a criminal no matter what the crime, it all goes back to one point it was illegal and they shouldn't have done it, but dang some peeps make mistakes and they learn and grow. If mystikal has been sentenced for his crime then he has served his time, so i feel that the mayor had no right to judge him.
I hate it whe npeole think they are God!!!
