I've written a lot of fan fics but this one is the only one that has a PG rating that I could post here. (me and my dirty mind...hehehe!) I'm gonna try and have the whole thing posted by the end of the week. Hope you enjoy it!
Lena paced the floor of the foyer waiting for him to arrive. It was three whole hours since she walked into the club and saw him dancing with some half-naked tramp that could barely keep her ass in her dress as she grinded all over him. Mark didn’t see Lena though because if he did he would have saw the commotion she caused trying to get to the dance floor to snatch his ass while her friends held her back. Instead she had her best friend drive her home so she could wait until he got in.
They told her he was no good. They told her he was a dog. But who were “they” anyway to tell her about the man who brought her roses “just because” who moved her into his house because he couldn’t stand to be away from her at night. Who were “they” to laugh when he asked her to marry him? “They” were jealous she first thought until he started coming home later and later, he wouldn’t answer his cell phone when she called. Then the sex slowed down. It was usually anytime they looked at each other or walked past one another it was on! Then it went to once a day, then once or twice a week, now Lena had to d*** near parade around naked to get attention from him. Now she realized “they” were right.
“Where have you been?” she asked as Mark walked inside slowly trying not to stumble. He was so drunk it was a wonder he made it home in one piece. “n****! I asked you a question!!”
“I told you where I was,” he said dryly as he grabbed the banister and made his way upstairs. He smelled like he took a bath in Hpnotiq. “I-I was with Tamir at the club.”
“Funny I didn’t see Tamir but I saw you. I saw everything.”
Mark mustered up all his strength and turned around. He knew he was busted this time. That girl Tasha was around him all night and there was no way he could lie his way out of it.
“Lee—“
“So who is she? Some girl you just met or is she your other woman? And you parade the b**** in public…knowing my girls were in there! That’s cute Mark…real f***ing cute.”
“I don’t know, she’s nobody to me. She walked up on me while I was there and just hovered around me all night. You better stop listening to them chicken heads you hang with. Half of ‘em just your friend ‘cause they trying to f*** me anyway.”
“So you couldn’t tell her to get the f*** off you?“ she walked up to Mark and slapped him right across the face. “You f***ed her didn’t you?”
“Girl! Back up off me!” he said getting in Lena’s face. “I ain’t f***ing nobody but you! I don’t want to hear no more about this bulls***! I’m going to bed!”
Lena sat at the foot of the stairs and looked at her left hand. Lately that diamond didn’t shine the way it used to. Maybe it was a sign that the relationship is dying. Lena went upstairs. She wanted to take a shower but Mark was in the bathroom so she opted to go straight to bed instead. She looked at the bed…a bed they shared for three years; the bed they conceived their daughter in and her heart sank into her stomach. What happened to him? Was he tired of Lena now? Was he having second thoughts about marrying her? Whatever it was she was losing the good fight. Lena walked down the hall and went into the guest bedroom, climbed onto the bed and cried herself to sleep.

The Next Morning...
Mark looked at his face in the mirror and slowly everything from last night came back to him. The girl who was sitting in his lap, grinding all over him feeding him drink after drink in the V.I.P. The girl he f***ed in the back seat of his Escalade in the parking lot of her apartment complex and promised to call her again when he knew he wouldn’t. The same girl who now, he doesn’t remember her name. At least he was smart enough to wrap it up before he hit it, he thought to himself. Then he came home to Lena who loved him, that if he would have kept his d*** in his pants would have given him the best sex in the world…like she always did. Instead he had to go after “new booty” from the club and Lena saw him. There was no way out of it this time. He woke up to an empty bed, the scent of breakfast cooking wasn’t in the air…the house was dead silent. It was time to face the music.
Mark went downstairs to face Lena as a sober man. He heard Lena and his daughter Destiny’s laughter in the living room and went toward it. Instead, he found the television on; a videotape he made of the two of them was playing. He sighed and sat down looking at the screen. A piece of paper on the table caught his eye and he picked it up.
Mark,
Look at the TV and think about what you gave away. I’m not coming back this time. Destiny is at my mother’s house if you want to see her.
It’s over and I’m not sorry.
Lena
He balled up the piece of paper and went upstairs to get dressed. He pulled open the closet and all her things were gone. He ran into Destiny’s room and opened the closet; nothing was there either. Rushing to find Lena he went and put on the first thing he found that matched. When he leaned down to grab his shoes a familiar gleam caught his eye. Mark stood up and came face to face with Lena’s engagement ring on a shelf. He looked at it and closed his eyes. This time she was really gone.

“Lena? I thought that was you.” Scola said hugging her unexpectedly and kissing Destiny on the forehead. The last thing she needed was to run into one of his friends while downtown shopping before visiting her mother. “I haven’t seen you around lately.”
“Hi, Ru. You know, I’m always home with the baby. How you been?”
“Good. I always tried to get around to see the baby but Mark did a good job of keeping all of us away from there. She looks just like him.”
“Yeah,” she said looking Destiny and then at the ground. “I know.”
“You all right Lee? You don’t look so good. You want me to call Mark to come and get you?”
“Can you hold her for a minute, I need to sit down.”
Rufus took Destiny from Lena’s arms just as she slumped down onto a bench. He sat next to her and watched her go pale and sweat formed on her forehead.
“Lee—you don’t look so good. Did you eat anything today?”
“Didn’t…have time to.”
Rufus sprang up and went into the corner store behind him, he returned with a bottle of orange juice and handed it open to Lena.
“Drink this. You know you’re diabetic and you didn’t eat. What if you had been driving and blacked out behind the wheel with your baby in the car? I’m calling Mark to come and get you right now.”
“No! Don’t call him!” she demanded pulling his cell phone from his hand. “I’ll be fine.”
“Did something happen? Lena you know you can talk to me…about anything.”
“I left him, Ru. I left him.”
Rufus looked at her in definite shock. He picked up Destiny’s baby bag and helped Lena to her feet. “I’m gonna take you to my place, get some food in you. Where were you about to go?”
“My mother’s,” she admitted. She was too weak to give up a fight. “What about your car?”
“It’ll be okay where it is. I’ll call your mom and tell her you’ll be there later. She’ll flip if she knew you were like this right now.”
Rufus got her and the baby into her car and they were on their way to his apartment. On the way he called her mother and gave her the details. He wondered what was so bad that it made Lena want to get away from Mark so quickly that she didn’t take care of herself. He’d known her since high school and she was one of his best friends. He thought he was doing the right thing by introducing her to Mark. They were happy from the beginning and he was so good to her he thought his friend had changed his cheating ways. He knew something was strange the way Mark suddenly started to keep Lena away from his boys when he proposed, then again Rufus had a hand in that himself that he was willing to accept.
