A change from the same redundant music in the US. With a mix of dancehall, garage & R&B with some UK 2 Step:
Mis Teeq

From their Official website:
Alesha, Sabrina and Su-Elise are Mis-Teeq, the UK’s premier r’n’b/garage girl band.
Originating from the UK garage scene, the girls stormed the charts in 2001 with their debut hit “Why”, which was embraced by clubs and radio stations alike. A further 4 Top Ten singles, “All I Want”, “One Night Stand”, “B With You” and the double A side “Roll On/This Is How We Do It” followed, which helped propel their critically acclaimed, double platinum selling debut album “Lickin’ On Both Sides”, to No 3 in the UK charts.
Mis-Teeq's extraordinary talent and crossover appeal further cemented the trio’s position as the act to breakthrough from the UK garage/r&b scene.
After winning the 'Best Artist' award at the UK Garage Awards, the girls performed a spectacular live performance at the BRITS 2002 as well as being nominated for 'Best Newcomer'. Following this the girls opened the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace, performed sets at Glastonbury and Creamfields 2002 and scooped the “Best Band” award at the Maxim Woman Of The Year Awards, the “Best Dance Act” award at the Capital FM London Awards and the prestigious “Best Garage Act” award at the 2002 MOBO Awards.
This March, the girls return with a brand new single, “Scandalous”, a sexy and sassy slice of hook-laden r&b, written by the girls themselves with the inimitable Stargate. The track features Mis-Teeq’s distinctive vocals, infectious beats and hypnotic strings, creating a perfect fusion of urban and pop sounds. The single will be followed by the girl’s second album “Eye Candy”, released on 31 March. All of the tracks on the collection have been written or co-written by the girls themselves, seeing the trio work with the cream of the r&b world including Salaam Remi, Joe, Mushtaq, Ed Case, Rishi Rich, JD and Dave Kelly. With another BRITS nomination under their belts for “Best Dance Act”, and an upcoming UK tour, 2003 is shaping up to be another year of massive success for this unstoppable trio.
