J-LO DOC SURE TO BE HOT: Documentary to air in UK, US may not be far behind. (Apr. 30, 2003)
*These star-studded documentary packages are certainly on a roll. According to Zap2it.com, a documentary airing today (April 30) on England's Channel 4 will tell the true and "not-entirely-flattering" story of Jennifer Lopez. In addition, the London Sun says of the film, titled "Behind the Behind" focuses on interviews from back in the day. Old friends, and former loved ones tell all they know about Lopez.
"She would go shopping a lot -- she never hung out with people from the Bronx," says Lopez's first husband Ojani Noa.
"She's another Hollywood star who's forgotten where she comes from," says Henry Palayo, a retired police officer and long-time friend of the Lopez family. "She's very artificial -- more artificial than a plastic rose."
While claims that J-Lo has forgotten her roots may get the most press, the documentary also depicts a star who put tireless effort into reaching her current status. There's no word yet on when the doc will drop in the US, but it's only a matter of time.
Gee, "Behind the Behind" is such a clever title, don'tcha think?
After reading what a few of her not-so-favorite associates had to say about her though(especially the police officer/family friend--
lol), I wouldn't mind watching this one here.
