Actor Foxx In Casino TroubleNEW ORLEANS --
Actor and stand-up comic Jamie Foxx found some trouble in a New Orleans casino early today.
Foxx and his sister were arrested after allegedly refusing to leave the casino and then fighting with police.
Officials say Foxx and Deidra Dixon refused to show I.D. when they walked into Harrah's Casino and then argued with security guards who told them to leave. Police say Foxx, Dixon and seven other people walked to a gaming table and then fought with police, who had been called to escort them out.
Police say Dixon hit one officer in the face before she and Foxx were subdued with pepper spray.
Foxx is out on bond after being booked with trespassing, battery on officers and resisting arrest. His sister faced similar charges, along with aggravated battery.
Foxx has appeared in several movies, including "Any Given Sunday" with Al Pacino. He also had his own show on the WB network.Words simply fail me with this news!

They shouldn't have carded them in the first place. C'mon, does Jamie look under 21? I don't know how his sister looks. But, they should've had their id's anyway. It should not have went that far.

Well, I'm sure if it was some fake imposter (lol) and the guard just let them in because they looked like Jamie Foxx, and then they found out later that it was actually not him, and he was under 21, the person(s) could have lost there job. So, yeah, I think they should have carded him, imo. Damn, if Dru Hill walked in, I would have done it.

WE KNEW JAMIE FOXX WAS A FOOL ... Funny man pleads innocent to fighting police in The Big Easy. Apr. 29, 2003)*Comedian/actor/singer Jamie Foxx, who's known for actin' a fool on TV, could be accused of doing the same in the real world. After being arrested Saturday, along with his sister, for trespassing, disturbing the peace, battery on police officers and resisting arrest, Foxx was released on $1,900 bond. He pleaded innocent Monday.
According to reports, Foxx, 35, and his sister, Diedra Dixon, 25, allegedly entered Harrah's casino near the French Quarter in New Orleans and refused employees' request to show identification. The two walked toward a gambling table, and Foxx splashed water from a fountain, police said (LOL--Lawd Jamie!).
When asked to leave by security guards, they refused. At that point police were called and Foxx and Dixon then fought with police. (If this was LA or New York, this story would probably have a different ending.) (**The last comment wasn't necessary** )
But wait! It gets more interesting. Dixon was booked on trespassing, simple battery on officers, resisting arrest, aggravated battery and extortion. She was charged with extortion because she allegedly threatened to cut a Harrah's guard unless he allowed her inside the casino. (Can you say "Ghetto?)
Dixon was released on $6,000 bond and the district attorney's office is deciding whether to press charges.
Foxx is in the New Orleans area until June filming "Unchain My Heart," the Ray Charles story. I have to agree that Jamie's sister threatening to cut one of the guards was very ghetto! ::shaking my head:: I don't think Jamie nor his sister is gonna live this one down anytime soon! ;D
