SHAKUR CLOTHING LINE IS UP NEXT: Afeni Shakur drops signature clothing line for Pac.
*Reports are circulating that Tupac Shakur has a clothing line coming out. OK, we know he's deceased and all, but HEY, we've heard more music from him since he's been gone (peace be upon him) than when he was here.
With that in mind, his mother Afeni is spearheading the release of the "Makaveli" clothing line. The line is expected to hit specialty stores this Christmas, according to Makaveli director of marketing, Rick Edwards.
"The best comparison for the way these clothes are styled and the concept of the brand is something like Enyce or Akademiks," said Edwards of the popular urban clothing labels. "[The Makaveli clothes are] influenced by Tupac's style and they represent an evolution of street wear, active wear and high-end fashion."
The signature Tupac gear is expected to feature Shakur's name, poetry, likeness and year of his birth (1971) on the clothes, according to estate lawyer Dina LaPolt.

I tell ya...everytime I turn around, someone has a clothing line comin' out and doggone it if my boy, Pac who's been gone for almost 7 years, doesn't have one now! Although, I'm not into artists clothing lines that are constantly being released, Pac's sounds pretty coo'. I LOVE the idea that some of his poetry will be on the clothing. His book of poetry entitled "The Rose that Grew From Concrete" is off the chains! But anyway...I love ya, Pac, but nah bro', I won't be puttin' any of my money into your clothing line.
