“Where did this one come from?”, Kiara asked with a puzzled look on her face as she held up a gift that was sitting away from the others on the table in Peaches’ living room.
“I’ono…lemme see who it’s from.”, Peaches replied as Kiara handed the gift to her. “It doesn’t have a name on it, but I wanna thank the person that it’s from, anyway.” She proceeded to pull out whatever was inside the large gift bag. Everybody giggled at once when Peaches held up an assortment of intimate board and card games to show the guests at her bridal shower.
“Now I wonda’ who’s responsible for this!”, Peaches smiled as she rolled her eyes. Then she looked at Kiara.
“Don’t look ova here! You already got yo’ gift from me, remember?”,Kiara chuckled with a look of innocence on her face. However, she had bought the games as a gag gift. But she also gave Peaches and Tamir a pair of custom-made crystal goblets with their names and wedding date inscribed on them.
“Do I need to spring my ‘Mama Peaches’ role on you?”, Peaches laughed while pointing her finger at Kiara.
“Oh…well in that case, I’m the guilty one!”, Kiara joked as she began to move away from Peaches.
“Girl, c’mere!”, Peaches laughed as she reached out and hugged Kiara. Then she stood up and thanked all of her family and guests for attending her shower.
“Now that was fun! But with my special day quickly comin’ up, I’m gettin’ too nervous!”, Peaches chuckled as she and Kiara began to clean up.
“Girl, you gonna be fine! Besides, you’ll be spending a lot of wonderful years with the love of your life!”, Kiara smiled.
“Oh there’s no doubt about that! But, well…I can’t explain it.”, Peaches replied while blushing.
“I hear ya, Peachy-Keen! But you’re juss havin’ a normal reaction to the big change that’s about to take place in your life…that’s all! Listen to me! I’m soundin’ like I’m an expert on this or somethin’!”, Kiara laughed as she flopped down in a chair in the middle of cleaning up.
“Nah, girl! What you’re sayin’ is makin’ a lotta sense!”, Peaches smiled as she flopped down in a chair across from Kiara.
“Yeah, but still…like I should be givin’ anybody advice. Look at the mess I have been goin’ through in the past few months!”, Kiara stated with a roll of her eyes.
“Keep talkin’ like that and this time, I won’t hold ‘Mama Peaches’ back!”, Peaches joked as she and Kiara stood up to start cleaning again.
“Yes ma’am!”, Kiara chuckled as she took some things out to the kitchen to put away.

“And you know another thang baby/It ain’t the same no more when I go out at night/I get a buncha numbers baby/But they all juss stay in my pocket for days/I don’t wanna call nobody else/I don’t wanna see nobody else/I don’t wanna want nobody else/But I guess I’ll, I guess I’ll wait!!!” Michael sang along to Raphael Saadiq’s “Tick Tock” while walking back and forth in his dark living room. While puffing on a cigarette, he desperately thought of a way to get Kiara back. For almost two months, he kept a low profile after his encounter with Peaches who had warned him to stay away from all of them; not to mention how she cleaned his clock. But Michael still wanted to see Kiara when she would least expect it.
Lately, he didn’t care about his job, his image, Mark, or the restraining order that was taken out against him. All he cared about was having Kiara back in his life. However, he still wouldn’t admit that his ego had been bruised when she stood up to him in the restaurant the first day he ran back into her since their breakup and said she didn’t want to have anything else to do with him.
After he flopped down on his sofa, he came up with a devious plan on how he would finally see Kiara, once and for all.

“Look, yall are gonna get us thrown outta here!”, Peaches whispered from her dressing room to her bridal party. They were cutting up like they didn’t have any home training while trying on their bridesmaid gowns. But Peaches was in on the action too as she slipped into her wedding dress.
“Like you ain’t doin’ nothin’!”, Kiara laughed as she checked out her gown in the larger dressing room mirror. “Dn! I know I got a bit much back here, but this is ridiculous! It looks like I’m stuffed in this thing! ”
“Yeah, you are blessed juss a tad bit too much!”, Rufus’ girl, Leticia, laughed as she came out of her dressing room to see how her gown looked in the larger mirror that Kiara was using.
“But you know what, trick? This junk in my trunk ain’t made for chumps!!! Heyyyy! Hoooo! You’ono nothin’ bout this here!”, Kiara laughed as she dropped it like it was hot.
“Keep right on, and that junk gonna bust that gown wide open!”, Leticia laughed as she rolled her eyes.
“Not in front of my baby, please!”, Peaches’ cousin, Sarah, stated as she covered her six-year-old daughter, Nicole’s, ears. Nicole was going to be the flower girl. “Yall will not corrupt my child with those foul mouths and hoochie dancin’ moves!”, she laughed.
“Yeah, whateva!”, Leticia chuckled as she and several other of Peaches’ relatives and friends came out to share the larger mirror.
“I know ri…!”, Kiara began before she saw Peaches coming out of her dressing room in her wedding gown.
“Oooooohhhhhh!!! You are absolutely beautiful!!!”, Leticia exclaimed when she turned around to look at Peaches.
Her gown was white and trimmed in pearls at the cuff of the long, lacey sleeves and up around her lacey neckline. The matching veil was also trimmed in pearls and was opened up at the top since she would be wearing an updo hairstyle.
Everyone gathered around her to compliment her. Peaches immediately began to blush. “Dang yall! It’s juss a weddin’ gown!”, she grinned.
“Don’t even act like you’re not enjoyin’ all eyes on you!”, Sarah joked as she hugged Peaches.
“Well, yeah, you’re right!”, Peaches laughed.
“But yall are lookin’ good too!”, Peaches smiled as she admired her bridal party in their long, satin, off-the-shoulder peach-colored gowns with long white satin gloves.
“Girls, we all look good enough to be in the next issue of ‘Brides’ magazine!”, James’ girl, Renee’, joked.
“Fo’ sho’!”, Peaches agreed.
