[glow=yellow,2,300]This was sent to my email today. [/glow]
Unfortunately, a virus has been passed on to me by a contact. Our address book was infected. Since you are in my address book, there is a good chance you will find it in your computer too. The virus is (called jdbgmgr.exe) cannot be detected by Norton or McAfee antivirus systems. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by messenger and by the address book, whether or not you sent an email to your contacts. It is transferred without an "attachment" file.
Here's how to check for the virus and how to get rid of it:
YOU MUST DO THIS:
Go to start, Find or search option
In the file folder option, type the name jdbgmgr.exe
Be sure to search or C: drive and all subfolders and any other drives you may have
Click "find now"
The virus has a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe DO NOT OPEN IT!
Go to edit (on the menu bar) and choose "select all" to highlight the file without opening it
Now go to File (on the menu bar) and select delete. It will then go to the Recycle Bin.
IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK, SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOKS.
To Do this:
Open a new email message
Click the icon of the address book next to "TO"
Highlight every name and add to "BCC" (which means blind copy) Do not put in the two box, because that is the way the other people get infected by the viruses.
Copy this message and paste in email

This turned out to be a hoax. it is a program file for windows. If you have deleted it return it to your recycling bin and restore the file. Sorry for the mix up. You can get this file from kazaa if you already deleted it.

Yea, she's right. However, it isn't an essential file. So, if you can't find it again, you won't run into any problems.

Its a Java Debugger for internet Explorer. Certain web pages may look weird without it. Just to be on the safe side, go to the mircosoft web page and find out about it and you should be able to download it from microsoft.

Thanks for the correction! I don't know why people are so ignorant that they post emails like this. It seems they have too much time on their hands!

I guess whoever started this thought it was funny. The thing is a lot of people will believe this and delete it. If you get any e-mails like this don't delete what they say to delete right away. Ask people if they got this e-mail.
