I am at my dad's house right now, so, I'm only 15 minutes away from NYC outside of Newark NJ (my house had power), so, I get all the New York tv stations. These people deserve to die. From FOUR PM to about 4 AM THE NEXT MORNING they talked about the power outage. What the feck. That is around 12 hours, multiply that by the dozen or so news channels. That's 144 hours just talking about the power outage. Firstly, there is practically nothing to talk about. The power was out, a Footlocker was looted, and people are sleeping on the sidewalks. Then we get 144 hours worth of crap. That is completely messed up. They angered me when they didn't air Jay Leno , but then... oh god... they crossed the line by not airing CONAN! What a disasterous event. These people are retarded.

Power is slowly returning. They've called it "THE BLACKOUT OF 2003" *echos 5 times* Plus they thought it was a terrorist attack when they should realize that they entire system blew. The Niagara plant can only do so much. As for the looting well that's just pathetic and its a footlocker. They might as well of looted a dollar store. Were they that desperate to get shoes? Man, just come to canada. I know most of the warehouses that you can get shoes, clothes for rock bottom prices! But like I said b4, power is slowly returning but expect to hear from Bush or a mayor or whoever to conserve water and energy.

They said they don't know the cause of it but I think it overloaded the system which caused it to crash like Windows 95. lol Too many things going all at once. I think the air conditioners play a big role in this blackout.

Man that s*** is a joke!! Do I need to remind everyone of THE ICE STORM that hit the Eastern Canadian sea board in 98 or was it 99 can't remember? Man we didn't have power for like 3 weeks and all the poles and s*** were crashing. I swear man, whenever some small s*** happens, the media gets crazy go nuts. They're probably doing this to further cast a shadow over the other s*** going on, wasn't there like a war or something? And what the hell is up with SARS man? And where Osama at? I mean s***

I know. I remember the Ice storm. Everyone knows that CNN isn't telling the truth. They're changing things and sometimes they're not even telling the truth! But that's what the media does. It takes a small thing and makes into a LARGE story that you'll keep on hearing about.

Well at least most of us now have power back, but the blackout will at least be a reminder to save as much energy as we need/have to. My power went back on like 3 in the morning the night of the blackout, but the only channel that was available on TV was channel 2. But it's like I said in the beginning, most of us at least have our power back on! ;D
