Carlos Santana Raises $2M For AIDS Fight: Guitar Legend Pledges Net Proceeds From Tour
Legendary rocker Carlos Santana estimates he made $2 million this summer to fight AIDS in Africa.
Santana had pledged the net proceeds from the U.S. leg of his "Shaman" tour would go to the charity Artists for a New South Africa, to battle the spread of AIDS.
Sub-Saharan Africa has been hit harder by HIV-AIDS than any other region of the world. The United Nations estimates that nearly 30 million Africans are infected with HIV or have AIDS.
The Grammy-winning artist wrapped up his 23-city tour Monday night in Los Angeles.
Santana told the crowd, "Because of you, there will be education, prevention, and there will be healing."

That is wonderful news! I love his style of guitar playin. He is soooo good and I would not mind seein him in concert
