Pregnancy Rumors Persist: One would hope that if Whitney Houston is pregnant, she wasn’t during the time that New York Times writer Isabel Wilkerson sat down to chat with her for the Essence magazine cover story. During the interview, which took place in Miami, FL, Whitney’s camp ordered her some Budweiser. “She likes Bud. Regular Bud,” said her hairstylist. Additionally, Whitney smoked cigarettes during the one-on-one as well. Isabel wrote: “The whole time she props her feet up on the chair, her voice sweet and raspy from the Newports, she talks like a girl you could have known in high school -- the glamorous one who didn’t have to try too hard -- and sips a glass of Merlot. Never touches the Bud.” Later in the article, when Whitney talks about her relationship with hubby Bobby Brown -- which doesn’t offer anything new -- the Arista recording diva “takes another drag on a Newport.” Whitney’s pregnancy issue never comes up in this story either.
Fast-forward to VH1’s “Diva Duets” and Whitney’s plump belly was talked about as much as her horrible performance. According to a photographer from Film Magic who shot the “Divas” special, photographers were allowed to shoot all the performances in full except Whitney. The veteran vocalist only allowed photographers to shoot the first minute of her performance and then she and her camp had to have approval on every single shot that Film Magic, Wire Image, or any company released. My source says she shot more than 100 photos in that minute and Whitney only approved four of them. "She was terrified that she would look too fat or too sweaty," the snapper says. "She sweats very heavily so she wouldn't allow anyone to take her picture after the first 60 seconds because she doesn't want those pictures out there." Another source associated with the production of the show said some of Whitney’s actions and comments during rehearsals led them to believe that the singer was with child.
If Whitney is indeed preggo like everyone seems to believe, I hope she gets her act together before it's too late and she harms her unborn child!
