Employees In Indonesia Attack Boss With Spears
JAKARTA, Indonesia -- In Indonesia, a Volvo executive is recovering after a group of employees attacked him with spears.
The Swedish man was trying to negotiate a severance pay settlement with more than 30 workers -- when police say a few of them stabbed him in the back and slashed his face.
It's not clear if the man is still in the hospital.
Meanwhile, Indonesian police have arrested four people in connection with the attack -- three are workers who had been fired and a fourth is a member of a radical youth group.
The larger group of nearly three dozen workers were demanding the company give them over $1 million in compensation.
Many international companies in Indonesia complain that they face violent worker strikes and attempts by people to extort money by attacking offices.
Violent isn't the word to describe the workers that did this!
