TORONTO -- Doctors have reattached both hands of a Toronto woman after her neighbor cut them off with a machete during a fight, police say.
The woman's hands were severed this week in a fight moments after police had seized four children from her neighbor's home.
Authorities say the neighbor thought the woman had called the police, but officials say she wasn't the one who tipped them off.
The neighbor is the mother of five children and now faces an aggravated assault charge.
The victim's family says her reattached right hand doesn't look very good, but they are hopeful the left one will recover most of its strength.
