Deer Walks Through Airport SecurityOMAHA, Neb. - It had to look suspicious.
A deer walked through the revolving doors and made its way to the baggage claim area of Eppley Airfield around 7 a.m. CDT Wednesday.
Kay Bammel, who has worked at an airport car rental counter for about 35 years, said the animal appeared scared and was making an awful noise.
"Some guy with his family just went over and tackled her around the neck and got her down," Bammel said. "Then they went and got some duct tape because she was kicking so bad."
Airport police then carried the deer out of the terminal and took her to the nearby Missouri River.
There always are concerns about deer getting on the runway, but police said they never thought they'd find one in the terminal.LOL--I guess I'm not too shocked about this one because I remember during my senior year in high school, a deer ran right past me and a group of friends, knocking one of my friends down that was on crutches due to a broke leg. At the time, everybody thought it was a dog until the poor thing got caught in a gate that led to the inside of the school. The Animal Control came out to rescue it. But that was so weird to see a deer actually running through our schoolyard and inside our school.

Maybe he wanted to help the war in Iraq and he wished he could do more so he needed a plane to get there to help the troops.

LMBO.........LOL CC your story is sooo funny!!!Even though it wasn't at the time!!!! That's Nebraska for you! People tackling deer and what not!!!!!!!! ;D I have a deer story too...I work in DC in a busy part of the city, and 2 deer ran through two windows of the MC Donalds. I couldn't believe it until I saw the windows boarded up! I'm like where did those deer come from?? Because It's a highly populated area. (Even though it has woods here and there.)

But talk about somebody hollerin' when that deer ran past us back then!!! Everybody took off runnin' in different directions except for my friend that was helpin' his brother up that was on the crutches. He was more shaken up than hurt though. I know was messed up for the rest of the day! Now this story about the deers and Mickey-D's...this was during regular operating hours?!! That is so strange like you said with them doing that in a busy part of the city! I know I would've passed out sho'nuff if I saw them coming through the window!!! I guess it's like they say...always expect the unexpected!

I didn't see it. I heard it because my co-workers work near the MC Donalds and it was going around my job, which is in another part of the city. I didn't believe it until I saw the boards on the windows. It was during the day, I think the morning. I heard that somebody got hurt, but I'm not sure of the details. I guess they smelled those fries and was looking for some food! lol lol I'm still cracking up from your story! I can picture the poor boy on crutches! (It's not funny! ) That would have won 10,000 dollars on America's Funniest Home videos if that was caught on tape. ;D
