IS JADA A LIL’ BIT DIVA? Actress allegedly falls out with Matrix producer Joel Silver.
(May. 12, 2003) *Pagesix.com reports that Jada Pinkett Smith has had a “major falling out” with Matrix Reloaded producer Joel Silver.
According to the report, it began when the actress refused to do a promotional appearance on MTV that included a video shopping tour.
“Jada thought the idea was cheesy and awful, so she said no way,” the Pagesix source says.
The actress became angrier when she learned that she would not be able to stay in her usual suite at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York following the movie’s premiere.
“Joel tried to tell Jada that Warner Brothers wouldn’t shell out for a suite so she had to take a smaller room. He said, ‘Well we aren’t even giving Keanu Reeves a suite, so we can’t give you one,’” the source said. “But Keanu has an apartment in New York so he would never have stayed at the Four Seasons anyway. Joel was just using him as an excuse to stick it to Jada.”
Mrs. Smith was allegedly so angry that she and Will did not appear at the after-premiere party.
“Matrix Reloaded” had premieres in New York and Los Angeles last week and will open nationwide this Thursday, May 15.
All I gotz to say is if this is the way she behaves everytime she doesn't get her way, then no wonder I haven't seen her act in any stand-out movies since "Set It Off".
And to think that doing the promo thing for MTV was cheesy and awful...err, ummm, maybe it would have really put you out there this time and from under Will's shadow (in my opinion)! And don't let me even start on the Four Seasons matter...well maybe I will; you mean to tell me that you're hitched to one of Hollywood's biggest actors and neither of you could afford a place to live in NY like Keanu?! 
Oh well, you may have messed up your chances to really wanna be approached by anyone else to do a movie in the future.
