LES NUB ON THE TUBE: Soulful duo to make multiple appearances on TV this week. (Apr. 30, 2003)
*With the release of their second CD, "One Step Forward," the Afro-French sister duo known as Les Nubian will use their enchanting vibe to woo fans on the small screen.
They will have several major national television appearances in the coming weeks, including a
performance of their first single "Temperature Rising" (featuring Talib Kweli), on NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly" on May 1 and will host the MTV2 Top Ten Soul Video Countdown on April 28 ... this will repeat on both MTV and MTV2 throughout the week.
Their second album debuted at #79 on the Billboard Top 200, the highest debut of any French language album in at least the last 20 years.
Look for Les Nubians to perform a string of US in-stores in May/June and to kick off a US tour in July!
For those of you who aren't familiar with this dynamic group, they are juss too bad!
I was introduced to their first CD by my good ol' buddy when he let me borrow it. Needless to say, I was blown away by them. They have this Wyclef Jean/Sade type of vibe goin' on in their music. I ended up buyin' a copy. It's entitled "Princesses Nubiannes" for those who are interested. But I didn't even know they had a new release!!! 
And I was juss in our local record store week before last. 
Anywayz, I will be going to pick it up this evening after work!
