Jail for Drunk Driver Who Left Baby in Crashed Car
LONDON (Reuters) - A drunken motorist who crashed and left his baby son crying in the car wreckage when he fled the police has been jailed for four months, British newspapers reported Friday.
Factory worker Graeme Kershaw, 24, was more than two times over the legal alcohol limit when he almost collided head-on with a police car before finally hitting another car in the evening of June 29, the Guardian newspaper said.
Police discovered the five-month old boy when they reached into Kershaw's car to switch off the ignition. Kershaw was later found asleep in his garden shed.
Magistrates in Blackburn, northern England, handed down the prison sentence after hearing the errant father had already been banned from driving because of previous motoring offences.

Okay, I'm aware that punishments for crimes vary in different parts of this wonderful world of ours, but after readin' this...this man only gets 4 MONTHS for what he did?! Unbelievable!
