This is chapter 4, it’s long.
At the Club
“This club is the s***,” Tamir said while drinking his 3rd bottle of Hennesey. They were chilln’ in the VIP section when Rufus noticed Ci Ci walk in with her friends and 2 other guys.
“Hey Mark there go your girl”
“D*** she’s looking PHAT, I’ma go holla” Ci Ci was wearing a black halter top that revealed her back, a black skirt, and a pair of black Jordans.
“Niya I’m gonna go chill at the bar”
“OK girl”
“So what are you drinking?” a sexy voice asked from behind her. Ci Ci turned around.
“SISQO! Hey, I really enjoyed the concert, I didn’t know y’all decided to stay and come to PHAT Tuesdays”
“Yeah we decided to try something new, but look sexy momma you can call me Mark”
“OK,” Ci Ci said while blushing
“So what are you going to drink LaCienaga?”
“You can call me Ci Ci, but um I don’t drink”
Mark started laughing
“It’s not funny, but I do drink Daiquiris and Tequilas sometimes”
“Girl, you can at least have a Margarita, he don’t have to put that much alcohol in it,” Mark said while still laughing.
“Yeah, I know that but I prefer not to drink those anymore”
“Why?”
“Don’t want to talk about it right now.” The truth was that she always ordered Margaritas on her dates with Tyreke because they were her favorite. She didn’t want to have any kind of memories of him right now.
“I guess I’ll order you a Tequila”
“OK”
“So where’s yo man at?”
“That was very smooth, but I don’t have one, I’m single and free”
As Mark and Ci Ci kept talking Tyreke had spotted them and started to make his way over there.
“Hey girl,” he said while putting his arm around her waist, “wus up Sisqo?”
“Nothing man, I was just leaving,” he said while giving Ci Ci a ‘not sure I should stay’ look.
“Mark, it’s not what you think,” Ci Ci said while grabbing his arm, “this is my EX-boyfriend, believe me our flame went out a loong time ago”
“That’s how it’s going to be now Ci Ci?”
“Yeah, you blew your chance”
“Well, I’ll see you later”
“Don’t count on it”
“That was your ex-boyfriend?”
“Yeah”
“I don’t even have to ask why y’all broke up because I seen him all over like 10 to 20 girls tonight”
“Yeah, he’s one of those triflin’ n****s, I just don’t understand you guys sometimes”
“All of us not like that”
“I thought you was a playa playa”
“Yeah but I’m getting older, I’m starting to settle down now”
“ I been through so many things I feel like I already reach my dating peak, so is there a significant other?”
“That was smooth”
“I know right,” they both started laughing
No, there isn’t any significant other, but there might be,” he said while looking her up and down.
“You barely know me”
“I can get to know you, maybe tonight at my hotel,” he said with a sly grin
“We’ll see about that”
Just then “Milkshake” by Kelis came on
“Oh this is my jam,” Ci Ci said while pulling Mark to the dance floor and she started to sing along.
“My milkshake bring all the boys to the yard/ d*** right it’s better than yours/ d*** right it’s better than yours/ I can teach you but I have to charge.”
Then soon after “Tipsy” came on.
“Now this is my song,” Mark said as he singed along
“I wonder if that shake coming with those fries/ if so baby can I get them super size/ everybody in the club getting tipsy/ everybody in the club getting tipsy”
Ci Ci jumped in at the end of the song, “dude I don’t care I’m a P-I-M-P”
“OK,” Mark said while laughing
“Now I’m going to take us back a little bit, here is a slow jam for all the lovers out there,” the DJ announced
Then “Cheers 2 you” by Playa started to play.
“Come with me,” Mark said while pulling Ci Ci
“Mark what are you doing?” Ci Ci asked as he pulled her on stage. He grabs the microphone and started singing along with the song as he looked Ci Ci in the eye.
“If I had a wish/ baby I wish/ he never left you feeling like this/ cuz I can feel your pain/ but if you can just get over him/ maybe some wine/ will look to your mind/ girl I’ma make it better/ now can we dim the lights/ let’s make a toast that it’ll be alright/ cheers to you for giving me a chance/ I’ll be your angel/ I’ll be your man,” just then Rufus hopped on the stage and sang the 2nd verse, “I know we can win/ and you can depend on me through the thick and thin/ through the very end I got yo back/ so open your heart and let me come on in/ and I’ll be your king and you be the queen of my heart of my soul……/ so let me ease yo mind/ let’s make a toast that it’ll be alright.”
By the end of the song all of Dru Hill was on stage and everybody was giving Ci Ci a jealous look.
“So sexy momma, you want to come to my hotel room?” Mark asked
“Yeah but I got to let my girls know, I’ll be right back”
When Ci Ci left, Janiqua went over to Mark and started flirting with him.
“Nisha, I’m going to leave with Sisqo”
“Alright girl, that was so nice of him to sing to you like that, I’m jealous”
“Look girl, there might be a big possibility that I’m not coming home tonight so don’t wait up for me,” Ci Ci said with a sly grin on her face. I know what you mean, when you get back you got to tell me all the details, have fun with the Dragon”
“Bye girl and tell Niya I’ll holla at her later”
Back to Mark and Janiqua
“So when can we get together?”
“Um there’s my girlfriend right there”
“Who LaCiga, LaCienaga whatever her name is, she’s a college freshman, she’s like 8 years younger than you, come on let’s be serious”
“Age ain’t noting but a number”
“All you gonna do is play her all you want is a friendly f***”
“Hi, what’s up Janiqua, Tyreke already acting up, he usually wait for 1 month tops?
“No Ci Ci, I’m going to warn you now, he’s just going to play you,” she replied while rolling her eyes.
“She takes my man and that’s still not enough for her, she’s a straight up hoe”
“I can tell, are you ready to go, college freshman?”
“How did you know that?”
“Your ‘friend’ just told me, but I’m still interested in you”
“Alright let’s go kick it,” Ci Ci said with a devilish grin
“Don’t have to tell me twice”
