Woody, who was in the kitchen, grabbed a glass out of the cupboard and filled his glass with orange juice which he had taken out of the refrigerator.
The bay window from the kitchen faced the back of the house. There was a beautiful view of the beach and Woody watched it out of the corner of his eye while he drank his juice. Someone running toward the beach caught his attention. He put the glass on the counter and took a closer look. It was Khori running to someone whom he couldn’t see.
He quickly ran to the nearby double doors to see what was going on. He opened them and the doors slammed behind him. Woody’s glass was near the edge of the counter, therefore when the door slammed, the glass fell off the counter and shattered on the floor.
Nokio was awakened by a rush of bone-chilling water, that came over him as he laid on the beach. He was startled, because he had forgotten what happened. Just then, Khori approached him and grabbed him by his arm and dragged him away from the waves.
“Are you alright?” Khori asked Nokio.
“Nooooo.” He moaned.
Just then, Woody came behind Khori and when he found out that it was Nokio, he ran and he knelt beside him, where he was laying on the beach.
“Nokio? Khori? What’s going on?”
Khori explained everything to Woody and Nokio started shivering.
“We gotta get him in the house!” Khori said.
Woody put Nokio’s arm around his neck and he lifted him up. Nokio walked a little with Woody, and then he started to stumble.
“You need some help?” Khori asked Woody.
“Nah…I got him.” Woody responded somewhat out of breath.

Sisqo had heard the glass shatter from his position on the couch. He couldn’t make it in to his room, because he was so tired from partying last night. He sat up on the couch and he let out a yawn.
He wanted to see what all the commotion was, so he walked to the kitchen. When he noticed all the glass on the floor, he heard the double doors open. He looked up and saw Woody walking with Nokio and Khori right behind him.
Woody placed Nokio on a nearby chair inside the kitchen. Nokio had a dazed look in his eyes.
Sisqo was wide awake after seeing this.
“What’s going on?” Sisqo asked.
“I don’t know…Nokio what’s up man?”Woody asked.
“I took some pills….” Nokio mumbled.
“Man, speak up?” Sisqo said.
“I took some pills!”
“What pills?” Woody asked.
“Sleeping…”
“You took some sleeping pills? How many?” Khori asked.
“Three..” Nokio mumbled and his eyes started getting heavy.
“Wake up!” Sisqo said as he started to slap Nokio on his face.
“We gotta get him to the hospital!” Khori said.
“Call 9-1-1!” Woody said.

“He’s alright. He didn’t take enough to really do damage. We gave him something to help him. We also have a counselor talking to him right now.” The doctor said. He was talking about Nokio’s condition.
“Oh thank God!” Kenneth said.
Kenneth, Khori, Woody, Sisqo, and Jazz were sitting in the waiting room of the hospital. Scola had just came in to catch the end of what the doctor said.
“He needs more than a counselor!” Sisqo said under his breath.
“Aww come on man! Don’t even start that mess. He could’ve died!” Jazz said.
“Sorry.” Sisqo replied.
“So he’s okay? Sorry I’m late.” Scola said. Khori rolled her eyes at him.
“Yeah, man.” Kenneth said.
Khori made it her business not to respond smartly. She just looked the other way.
“Where in the world were you?” Sisqo asked.
Scola glanced at Khori. “I just had a long night.”
Khori knew he was staring at her, but she didn’t give in.
“Mr. Ruffin is taking visitors now.” The nurse said to them.
“Cool.” Woody said.
They decided to let Khori and Woody go to visit Nokio first.
He was propped up on a couple of pillows when they both entered the room.
“Oh hey! Whatsup ya’ll.” Nokio said.
“Well…you look one hundred percent better!” Khori said.
“I feel better too! Thanks for helping me!” Nokio said to Khori.
“No problem!”
“You’re talking to me, really helped me to see that it’s not all about me!”
“Umm hmmm….” Khori smiled.
Nokio held out his arms for her to give him a hug.
“I now know what I really need to do.” Nokio said.
“What’s that?” Khori asked.
“Woody, get all the fellas! I’m going to really talk to ya’ll today!”
“But I don’t know if they’ll let everyone in---“
“I don’t care! I need to speak to all of ya’ll!”
“Well…okay.”
Woody went to get the rest of the fellas minus Kenneth. Khori left the room, avoiding eye-contact with Scola, who was staring at her.

Later on that evening, everybody, minus Nokio, were at the wedding rehearsals. Sisqo and Jazz were talking to the members of the band who were going to play at the wedding and provide the music for their performance.
Kenneth and Khori were sitting at a table with the future bride and groom, Adriana and Phillip. They were ecstatic that Dru Hill were performing at their wedding.
“This is best wedding gift I could ever get!” Adriana said.
“It will be definitely something to remember!” Phillip said.
Khori was happy she could help her friend out and that the fellas agreed.
“Thank Kenneth and the fellas! They said ‘yes’. I just asked!” Khori laughed.
“A million thank you’s!” Phillip said.
“No problem! I’m always willing to help!” Kenneth smiled.
Just then, Adriana’s friend Judy came running toward their table.
“We got some bad news!” She said.
“What?” Adriana said excitedly.
“Shelli is sick! She has strep throat and she won’t be able to make it to the wedding tomorrow!”
“Nooo! We can’t have a lop-sided wedding party!” Adriana said as she buried her head in her hands.
“Sorry Addie!” Judy said.
