"Alex you look so pretty." said Lene as she helped her sister get ready.
"Thank you." cried Alex she was steady wiping her eyes.
"Girl what's wrong?" asked Gina walking as she handed Alex some more kleenex.
"I know, this is a happy day. There's no reason why you should be crying." said Lene.
"I know, it's just that, this is what I always wanted. This whole day is what I've dreamed of. You know, having my father walk me down the aisle. My sister as my maid of honor. My mother crying her eyes out. And for so long I didn't think I was gonna have this. And now today's here and you're all here. It's just a dream come true." cried Alex.
"Stop it girl, you making me cry." said Lene as she pushed her sisters' shoulder.
"I know me too." said GIna, "I can't wait till this day comes for me."
"Me too." said Lene.
"It will, just be patient." said Alex grabbing her sisters' hand.
"Ladies it's time. What's wrong?" asked Sheila.
"Oh nothing ma, we were just having one of those moments." said Lene.
"Oh well Alex, sweetie you shouldn't be crying." said Sheila wiping her daugthers' eyes.
"I know, I know. I'm ready now." said Alex standing up from her chair.
"Alrighty then, lets get this show on the road whoo! My baby's getting married, my baby getting married." said Sheila doing the cabbage patch.
"Ma, please stop." laughed Lene.
"What?" said Sheila.
"You look goofy ma." laughed Alex.
"Whatever, lets do this!" shouted Sheila walking out of the room.
"And you said she'd be crying." whispered Lene.
"Girl she took me by surprise." giggled Alex.
As the girls headed to the front of the church, Lene began to wonder about her own wedding day. What it would be like, how her mother would act, although she had a pretty good idea.
"Hey daddy, you looking might handsome." said Alex as she took her fathers' arm.
"And you look unspeakably beautiful." said David smiling from ear to ear. He was more than proud. He never imagined he'd be walking his oldest child down the aisle.
"Are you crying?" asked Alex noticing the tears in his eyes.
"You know what, I'm proud to say that I am." said David.
"I love ya daddy." said Alex.
"Love you too baby doll. Now you ready?"
"You better believe it."
