"Alex?" asked Lene with a shocked look on her face.
"Yeah, it's me." said Alex.
"Oh my God." said Gina, her mouth wide open.
Lene couldn't believe what she just heard. Her sister, the one that had been missing after all these years, was now standing before her.
"Say something." said Alex. She was so excited to see her baby sister. She had been looking for her for the past two years. She was too afraid to try before then.
"Why did you leave me?" asked Lene finally able to speak. That question took Alex by surprise. She wasn't expecting that so soon.
"I had to Lene, you knew how daddy was." said Alex, her eyes tearing up.
"You could've stayed for me. You don't know how strict he was on me after you left. I needed you there. How could you leave me like that?" cried Lene.
"Lene I'm sorry, but I couldn't stay in that house any longer."
"How come you never wrote me or called me?"
"I was afraid daddy wouldn't let me talk to you. I thought he might just throw the letters away."
"What about mom? You could've atleast called her."
"I couldn't bring myself to talk to her. I knew how bad I hurt her. It would've killed me to hear her cry."
"How do you think it felt to see her like that?"
"Again Lene, I'm sorry."
"Maybe we should go somewhere else. I lost my appetite now anyway. Besides, you two could have a more intimate conversation." said Gina. Lene was beginning to get a little histerical, so she thought it would be best if they talked privately.
"Regina?" asked Alex finally realizing who she was.
"Yeah, you didn't recognize me?" asked Gina as she hugged Alex.
"No, damn girl you cute." laughed Alex.
"You aint so bad yourself. How have you been?" laughed Gina.
"Gina you're right. Lets go some where private to talk." said Lene as she gathered her stuff.
"Okay, we can go back to my house." suggested Alex.
"You live out here?" asked Lene.
"I moved back out here three years ago. But we can talk about when we get there." said Alex.
"Okay." said Lene still trying to gather the thought of her sister being back.

"You're engaged?" asked Gina.
"Yup, finally after so many bad relationships. He's amazing." said Alex holding out her hand so Gina could see the ring.
"I don't believe this." said Lene still in shock.
"What's wrong Lene?" asked Alex seeing the confusion in her sisters eyes.
"You're back, after all these years, you're back."
"I know, and I'm not going anywhere."
"But why now? Why did you want to find us now?"
"Because, with me getting married, I wanted my family there. I missed you guys."
"We've missed you too."
"I've actually tried to find you for the past two years, but I found out that you moved and I didn't exactly know where you went."
"We moved to Texas." said Gina pointing at herself and Lene.
"Texas?" said Alex.
"Yeah, I wanted to go somewhere I hadn't been. Besides, it was sorta like our plan." said Lene looking at Gina.
"Oh, well did you like it there."
"Yeah, it was pretty cool. But I guess we got a little home sick." said Gina.
"Oh, you know I tried to contact daddy and momma. I know they got a divorce. And I know momma still stays at the house." said Alex sadly.
"Why haven't you gone over there yet?" asked Lene.
"I need to work up the nerve to see her."
"By the way, where did you get all this information?" asked Gina.
"Our Aunt Mavis."
"Yeah, Auntie Mae talks a lot. I wonder why she hasn't told momma yet." said Lene.
"I asked her not too."
"So are you gonna talk to your dad?" asked Gina.
"Yeah, I have forgiven him for what he did. I know some of it is my fault and I hope he can forgive me too."
"Why would you wanna talk to that bastard?" asked Lene nastily.
"Because like or not he's still our father, and he's the only one we got. I can't leave this world without reconciling with him." said Alex. Lene simply shook her head. She felt it would be a lot harder for her to forgive him.
"So what's your fiances' name?" asked Gina quickly changing the subject.
"Derrick Cooper."
"When am I gonna meet him?" asked Lene.
"Soon, he's out with some friends tonight. I haven't met them yet but he says they're cool people."
"Oh well, looking forward to meeting him."
"Yeah he is too."
