"Ooh girl, can you believe we're back?!" said Gina as she plopped down on Lenes' couch.
"I know, the last time I was up here was for mommas' birthday." said Lene putting her books on her shelf.
After seven years, she and Gina had finally moved back home to Baltimore. Gina had been dying to go back for a while now, but it took some convincing to get Lene back up here. The two had decided to come back up and open a few clothing stores. After all, the stores they opened in Texas had been doing very well.
After that night at Lenes' party, Lene asked her mother if she could leave a couple of days earlier. She couldn't stand to stay another week with her father. He wouldn't allow James anywhere near the house, nor did he allow her to accept his phone calls.
Her mother arranged for her to leave just three days after that day. Soon Lene and Gina were in Texas. But before she left, Lene made it clear to her father that she would know longer contact him as his daughter.
During the seven years Lene was in Texas, her parents got a divorce. After she left her father began to see his mistress a lot more. It got to the point that Sheila had to hire a PI to spy on him. Sure enough she got all the proof she needed to leave him.
Sheila is alone and happy. Though there are times where she misses David terribly. As for David, after his divorce to Sheila, he decided to make a relationship with his mistress. Unfortunately she was in already in a relationship. When her boyfriend found out, he promptly kicked Davids' ass.
He has yet to remarry. He's now alone without the real love of his life and his daughters. He and Sheila have remained friends though she has told him she will not take him back.
"It feels good to be here. I didn't think I would miss it this much." said Gina as she propped her feet up on the couch.
"Uh, do you think you could help me unpack?" asked Lene as she pushed Ginas' feet off of her brand new couch.
"Do that later, lets go see some old peeps."
"No, we can do that later."
"Why are you so hyped up to unpack now."
"Cause I want to get this over with."
"Well hurry up then."
"It would go a lot faster if you get up and help."
"Fine, dang, second day back and she already got me to work. I mean dang, we spent all day yesterday unpacking my junk."
"I know, and that's why you're helping me today." said Lene shaking her head. She continued to go through her box of books when she stumbled across something she hadn't seen in years. "Oh my goodness."
"What's that?" asked Gina.
"It's my old diary. I haven't written in this thing for years." said Lene flipping through that small piece of history.
"The last entry was your birthday. Geesh, you didn't write much." said Lene.
"I know, I was too upset with my father. You remember what he did right?"
"Yeah I remember."
"I still remember it like it was yesterday."
"Well don't think about it. I mean other than that, the party was pretty cool. I mean, how many other people can say they had Dru Hill sing at their party." said Gina taking the book away from Lene.
"Yeah that was nice. You member the gift Woody gave me?" said Lene holding out her arm.
"Duh, you wear it everyday. Do you think he remembers you?"
