"What are you guys doing here?" asked Lene smiling ear to ear.
"Your mom invited us." said Mark giving her a warm hug.
"She did?" asked Lene turning to her mother.
"Yeah, I bumped into them at the mall and informed them that your birthday was coming up and they agreed to stop by." said Sheila happy to see her daughter smile.
"Oh thanks ma." said Lene. She then turned to see James standing there holding a gift. She was wanting to hug him the most. Especially because she hadn't seen him in a while.
"Hey Lene." said James hugging her, "Long time no see."
"I know, it's been a while. How come you haven't called me?" asked Lene holding his hand as they went and sat on the couch.
"I've wanted so bad, and I have tried. It's just that with our busy schedule, I barely get enough time to call you."
"Oh I see. It's just that I'm moving next week and I've really been wanting to see you."
"I know, me too."
"I see you brought me a gift."
"Yeah, I saved up a lot to get you this."
"Really what is it?"
"Open it and see." said James handing her the gift. Lene ripped off the wrapping and opened the box. There sat a silver name bracelet.
"Ooh James, thank you." said Lene wrapping her arms around his neck.
"You're welcome." said James. From across the room, David was watching the two closely. If James had made the wrong move, he would be out of there with a quickness.
"Do you wanna go some where and talk privately?" asked Lene as James put the bracelet on her wrist.
"Would that be okay?" asked James.
"Yeah, there shouldn't be a problem." said Lene as she stood up.
"Okay then." said James. The two then went out on Lene's back porch, "You look really beautiful."
"Thank you, you don't look so bad yourself." said Lene.
"Thanks, so, have you had a good birthday so far?"
"Yeah, I got a lot of really good presents. And some things to go with me when I move."
"You know I'm gonna miss you right?"
"Really?"
"Yeah, I guess I've come to think of you as my girlfriend."
"You have?"
"Yeah."
"Well, I guess I'm not stupid then."
"Why do you say that?"
"Cause I kinda thought of you as my boyfriend."
"So we were on the same page?"
"Yeah, but I guess it's kinda too late to make it offical."
"Yeah, seeing as how you're moving."
"I know."
"What's even worse is that we'll never have a first kiss."
"Who says we can't?" asked Lene as she kissed him.
"Wow. I wasn't expecting that." said James as they pulled away.
"I like to sur...." started Lene just as James kissed her again. The two began to get lost in the kiss. Before they knew it minutes had gone by and they still hadn't stopped.
David began to worry about Lene. He knew that she had gone outside with James but they had been out there just a tad bit too long. It got to the point of bothering him so he went to inspect what was going on.
