"Look what you did David! You ran her off! I can't believe you!" shouted Sheila as she and David walked into the house.
"Shut-up Sheila! She probably just went to Reginas' house." said David looking for his car keys.
"For your sake I hope she did." said Sheila putting her shoes on.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going with you."
"No you're not."
"Yes I am, cause I can guarantee you she's gonna still be angry with you. And I know you, once she cops an attitude you will too, and then we'll never get her back."
"Come on here then." said David as he marched outside.

"He hit you?" asked Gina shocked at what Lene had just told her.
"Yeah hard too." said Lene rubbing her cheek.
"I knew something wasn't right about that man." said Ginas' mother Carol.
"David know he shouldn't put his hands on you. Don't worry Charlene, you're staying here tonight." said Ginas' father Paul.
"Thank you Mr. Williams." said Lene.
"No problem baby girl. You know you're like family here." said Paul just as there was a knock on the door.
"What do you want?" asked Carol when she opened the door.
"I want my daughter." said David pushing past Carol and into her living room.
"David, how could you hit her like that?" asked Carol following behind him.
"Carol he didn't mean it." said Sheila following behind Carol.
"Bulls***, he knew what he was doing." said Paul standing in front of Lene.
"Charlene go get in the car." said David as he stood staring eye to eye with Paul.
"No she's staying here tonight." said Paul still standing in front of Lene.
"Charlene get in the car." said David not flinching one muscle.
"David look how upset you are, don't you think it makes since that she stays here with us tonight." said Carol standing next to Paul.
"No I don't." said David.
"Sheila, it's the best thing to do and you know it." said Carol.
Sheila stood quiet for a moment, she didn't know what to do. She wanted her daughter home but she didn't want an arguement between the two when they got home.
"David she's right, maybe we should let Charlene stay here tonight." said Sheila.
"What?!" shouted David as he spun around to look at her.
"It's best, at least till the two of you calm down. And it's just for tonight."
David just looked at her for a minute. He knew he was wrong for striking his daughter but she had no business talking to him like that.
"Fine!" mumbled David as he walked out of the house.
"Thank you momma." said Lene.
"Okay baby, but we will talk when you get home tomorrow." said Sheila.
"I know."
"Alright, good night." said Sheila hugging her daughter.
"Good night momma, and be careful." said Lene.
"I will."
