The guys just stood in awe, watching the two in a heated kiss.

"I wonder what he did?" asked Mark still watching the two go at it.

"I don't know but it looks like it worked." said James.

The two broke out of their kiss, breathing heavily and staring into each others eyes.

"What was that for?" asked Larry.

"I want to be that girl. I want to be the one to make you happy and share your dreams with. I want to be all that and more." said Ruby looking into his eyes.

"Are you sure that's what you want?" asked Larry.

"Aww Larry don't ask questions. Just run with it." said Rufus as the rest of the guys nudged him to be quiet.

"Yes it's what I want." giggled Ruby.

"But you put it off for so long."

"I know and I regret that. I was scared."

"Of what?"

"Of losing you as a friend and a lover. I wouldn't be able to take that. You mean so much to me."

"You mean the world to me too. And trust me baby, I'm not going anywhere."

"Promise?"

"I promise." said Larry as he kissed her again.

"Aww, aint that a kodak moment." laughed Mark as he pretended to wipe away a tear.

"Aint it though." laughed Tamir.

"Shut-up." said Larry as he and Ruby broke away.

"All I got to say is, IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!" said Rufus.

"I know it's been some years." said James.

"I know what else they probably dying to do." said Mark winking at the two.

"Ay, keep on ya hear." said Ruby pointing at Mark.

"Ay, I'm just saying, that's a lot of built of passion on his part." said Mark punching Larry on the shoulder.

"You know what I'm saying." said Larry as he and Mark exchanged sly looks.

"Excuse me." said Ruby with her hands on her hips.

"I'm just playing baby."

"You better be." said Ruby.

"Damn she already got that n**** whipped." said Rufus shaking his head.

"That's just how I do." said Ruby.

One year later....

"When is it gonna be my turn?" whined Whitney as she watched Larry and Ruby on the dance floor.

"What you whining about?" asked Tamir walking up behind her.

"I'm so sick of being lonely." said Whitney.

"Aww s***, that's my jam. I'm so sick of being lonely..." said Tamir bobbing his head.

"Ooh shut-up." laughed Whitney.

"Come on sing it with me."

"Any other night you be at home waiting on me...." laughed Whitney.

"What's going on?" laughed Tamir.

"You are too funny."

"Yeah well I cheered you up didn't I?"

"Yeah you did."

"Alright then, hey, you wanna dance?"

"Sure, why not?"

The two proceeded to slow dance along with the rest of their friends. But Tamir had a confession he needed to make.

"I have something I need to tell you." whispered Tamir in her ear.

"What?"

"I've been feeling you like Larry was feeling Ruby all these years."

"What?"

"Yeah, surprising aint it."

"How come you never said anything?"

"I don't know, I never knew if you was feeling me or not."

"I was."

"You were?"

"Yeah."

"How come you never said anything?"

"Same reason."

"Looks like we need to communicate more."

"Yeah, hopefully we can have plenty of time to do that."

"That's what I'm hoping."

One year later....

"Ooh you look so cute." said Whitney as she sat across from Ruby.

"No I don't." whined Ruby.

"Yes you do. Pregnancy looks so cute on you."

"Whatever."

"I'm not lying. You know I think you're gonna be a good mother."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Aww, thank you girl. You two, well when you and Tamir decide that you want to."

"Girl that's a long ways off."

"With the way y'all going I would say that it's not too far away."

"Whatever." said Whitney taking a sip of her soda.

Ruby began to look around the restaurant. She stopped when she saw a familiar face. At first she thought she was seeing things, but as she kept looking she knew it wasn't an illusion.

"Oh my God." said Ruby.

"What? What's wrong?" asked Whitney.

"That's that girl."

"What girl?"

"The girl Marcus cheated on me with."

"Where?"

"Right there. I can't believe that's her."

"She look like she's crying."

"She is. I wonder what's wrong."

"Why?"

"I don't know, I just want to know."

"Okay."

"I'mma go see what's up."

"What?!"

"I'm gonna go see what's wrong."

"Okay do you not realize she was the reason you and Marcus broke up."

"I know that, but hey if she hadn't messed with him. I wouldn't be with Larry."

"True but..."

"I just want to see." said Ruby getting up from the table. As she made her way over to Alicia, she was wondering why she was doing this. What made her think to want to talk to her?

"Are you okay?" asked Ruby touching Alicia's shoulder.

"Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine." said Alicia.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, do I know you? You look familiar...." said Alicia realizing who she was.

"Yeah."

"Look I'm sorry. I didn't..."

"That was two years ago. I'm over it. Besides I'm married now and as you can see I'm seven months pregnant."

"Yeah I see."

"So why are you crying?"

"Marcus."

"What about him?"

"This might seem funny or like I deserved it but, I caught him cheating on me."

"Oh really."

"Yeah. I caught them in our bed. Weird huh?"

"I guess, look I'm not gonna sit here and pretend like I feel sorry for you because I don't. It's like they say, what goes around, comes around. And yours' just came back. Now, I will say that he's wrong for what he did. But honestly, if he cheated on me after seven years, what did you think he would do with you?"

"I don't know, he told me he changed. And that he loved me."

"He loved me too."

"I know, I guess I'm stupid huh?"

"Not stupid, naive maybe, but not stupid."

"I loved him."

"I know, I did too. But hey, once a cheat, always a cheat."

"Yeah. I'm sorry for what I did to you."

"Like I said, I'm over it. But I accept your apology."

"Thanks for that, I know you didn't have to."

"No prob. Hey, why don't you join me and my friend for lunch?"

"I can't do that."

"It's better than sitting here alone and crying your eyes out."

"Are you sure?"

"If I wasn't, I wouldn't ask."

"Okay then."

"There's my babies." said Larry as Ruby walked into the house.

"Hey daddy." said Ruby.

"How was lunch?"

"Pretty cool. I ran into Alicia."

"Who's Alicia?"

"The girl Marcus cheated on me with. I asked her to eat with us."

"Why?"

"Cause she was sad, he screwed her over too."

"Oh word. Damn, so what y'all friends now?"

"I don't know yet. But I do know these two are driving me crazy." said Ruby rubbing her belly.

"Aww, leave them alone. They just happy to be hear their daddies voice."

"Yeah well, hey, they don't have to kick so hard."

"They just showing you some love, just like I've been doing and promise to do for the rest of my life."

"You better, you not leaving me alone with twins. I need someone here to take care of us and love us."

"Don't worry baby, I'll be the one."
