"Hey mommy, daddy, Uncle Scoot." said Temple, walking into her mothers kitchen.
"Hey baby girl." said Mr. Lincoln.
"How's my baby?" asked Mrs. Lincoln.
"I'm fine." said Temple, hugging her mother.
"Actually I was talking about the baby, but that's good to know." said Mrs. Lincoln.
"Oh wow, thanks for caring," laughed Temple, "But the baby's fine."
"Oh you know I'm playing." said Mrs. Lincoln.
"So Mark's gone huh?" asked Mr. Lincoln, sounding upset. They didn't like to call him Sisqo, so he allowed them to call him Mark.
"Yes daddy, he's gone, but he'll be back in two weeks."
"Leaving my baby pregnant and alone, what's wrong with that boy?"
"Daddy, I said he'll be back."
"Oh he knows, but you know your father." said Mrs. Lincoln.
"Temple, you've been here all of five minutes and aint gave me no suga yet." said Uncle Scoot.
"Sorry Uncle Scoot," said Temple kissing him on the cheek, "You still love me?"
"If you give me five dollars yeah." said Uncle Scoot, holding his hand out.
"Now Scoot, quit asking that girl for money." said Mrs. Lincoln.
"Aw Sugabee, she know I was playing."
"You get anymore letters?" asked Mr. Lincoln.
"Wallace!" said Mrs. Lincoln.
"What?!"
"I told you not to bring that up."
"Adrienne, if I want to know if some nut is bothering my daughter, I'm gonna ask."
"It's okay ma, not lately," said Temple, "And since I changed my number the phone calls stopped."
"That's good, I can't believe somebody wants to hurt my baby girl." said Mr. Lincoln.
"I tell ya what," said Uncle Scoot, "If you find out who it is, Uncle Scoot will take care of em for ya."
"Aw, thank you Uncle Scoot." said Temple.
"No problem, and I'll only charge you twenty dollars."
"Scoot!" said Mrs. Lincoln.
"Adrienne!"
"Leave that girl alone." said Mrs. Lincoln.
"Dang Bee, calm down, I'm joking."
"Sisqo wants me to move in with him." said Temple.
"What did you tell him?" asked Mrs. Lincoln.
"I said yes."
"Temple!" said Mrs. Lincoln.
"I knew it, I knew that boy would corrupt you." said Mr. Lincoln.
"Mama, I love him and daddy, he didn't corrupt me."
"I don't like this idea." said Mrs. Lincoln, shaking her head.
"I thinks it's a good one, we love each other, and we are talking about marriage. Besides with that pyscho out there, I don't want to be at home alone."
