Well...today's the second anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center. It's kinda scary 'cause I was watching the morning news this morning, and the weather guy was like "here's the sunrise, and it looks almost like the sunrise from 9-11 two years ago". I still remember that sunrise two years ago, and it freaks me out 'cuase they do look almost the same. What about you guys? Did anything happen when this attack occured two years ago? I know it stinks talking about it and it will somtimes hurt, but it's better to let it all out.
My story of 9-11 two years ago: I was at school when it happened. I was in my computer graphics class, and my teacher announces the attack in the middle of class. We're all shocked, but wonder if it's a hoax. But then, I see one of my friends and she's freaked out about it 'cause one of her uncles worked at least a few blocks close to the twin towers and she couldn't get to him. Later on at lunch, I hear some people say: "I don't gave a damn if I have to skip my afternoon classes...I just wanna go home and hope this is all s***." I come back home from school, and they're reporting the attack live on TV. That's when I realize it wasn't a hoax. But the one thing that makes me break down emotionally is the constant playing of that clip of the planes flying into the twin towers and watching them fall, and people running for their lives. Just ate my soul away...that's all I'm gonna say 'cause more of it hurts me more.

I remember that day. My brother woke up everyone saying a plane just flew into the World Trade center. I was like "ok, this is not happening." Then he said that another one flew into the buliding. I still didn't believe that this was going on. I was talking to my friends and they didn't believe it. Their classes got cancelled. I still didn't believe this was actually happening. Then CNN showed the planes flying into the buliding then I realized that this ain't a dream or a movie. Itss reality.I had class later that night and the teacher was talking about it.
The thing that bugs me is that Bush was warned like a month before this happened. Maybe if he took more precautions and put more security, some kids would still have their moms and dads or their sisters, brothers, sons and daughters.

It still feels like yesterday when this tragedy took place. Like I do every mornin' at work, I was listenin' to Tom Joyner's mornin' show when they made a special news report that a plane had crashed into Tower One. At that exact moment, my sister called me to say that our friend had juss called her and told her that she was watchin' the clip on CNN's website at her job. Well, while I was talkin' to my sister and tryin' to listen to the report on the radio, my daddy called to tell me that he and my momma were watchin' it on TV. I hung up with my sister and was still talkin' to him when my supervisor and 2 of my co-workers came into my office to see if I wanted to go upstairs to watch it on the tv where everyone was gatherin'. I couldn't believe what I was seein'...especially when the second plane crashed into Tower Two and then when the news reported that another plane had crashed into the Pentagon and then yet another in Pennsylvania, I decided that I had had enough so I came back downstairs to call my parents back to see if they had heard from my grandparents and one of my aunts who lived on the outside of Manhattan. My father was upset because he couldn't get through and all of a sudden he shouted that he had to go because he was watchin' the first tower as it began to fall. By this time, I as well as most of my co-workers were cryin' and upset. I left work early that day and spent the rest of the week and the weekend with my parents. I was afraid of what was goin' to happen next to our country. ::Moment of silence for the victims and heroes::

::Moment of silence for the victims and heroes:: Well, on 9-11, I was at work. I work in DC on the school bus so at a certain points in DC, you can see into VA. I remembered that I could see the smoke from the Pentagon, but I didn't know it then. I thought someone had demonstrated downtown and set something on fire. But when I got back to my lot, people were saying how a plane hit the Pentagon and the Twin Towers. It was a mess! No one could get through to anyone on cell phones, and parents were trying to get to their children and the roads were congested with traffic! I will never forget that day.

I was at work starting the day when my boss came in and said that a plane hit the WTC and she turned on the TV and just as everyone was listening to what happened and they were announcing that it was an apparent hijacking we saw the second plane come into frame and hit the second tower. One of my co-workers ran out of the room and went to get her cell phone to check on family and we all just stood there in shock.
All during the day parents and their kids who were coming into clinic were glued to the TV's and we all were too whenever we got a free moment. I tried to call my boyfriend who was stationed in VA in the Navy at the time and his phone at work was busy. I got an e-mail from him saying he was sent back to his old ship and may have to be sent out and he didn't know when he was going to be back, I was so scared I could barely focus the rest of the day at work.
It all didn't hit me until I got home and they said what the number of those who perished were and I realized that so many families lost loved ones that day, I cried so hard and tried to make sense of everything and wondered how could someone be so heartless. After two years the wound is still fresh in my heart so I know how others must feel.
