This is just STUPID! But its not the stupidest thing I've seen in cars. Instead of buying a chandelier he could have done something like this: or this: <--I've seen this idiot around a lot. Why doesn't he put in an Easy Bake oven and one of those Mc Flurry toy machines from Sears in there? He'll look SOO cool.

Amy, what's up with the cardboard wing? You can put a nice spolier on your Lumina, get some nice dubs on it but please... don't do stuff like this: or even this I've seen too many and I have insulted lots of ricers but don't do this to a great car like the Lumina.

Amy, what's up with the cardboard wing? It provides downforce when I'm going 15mph! Hm... I'll admit that the soda bottle painted like a blue NOS bottle really serves no purpose though, but it gives me at least 5 cool factor points!! Anyhoo, I don't like Luminas. But I don't actually drive one, so 'tis all good! LOL

True but it also makes you a ricer* and you'll get pointed and laughed at by people. *Ricer definition: The typical Rice-Boy can be identified by his car, or rather what he does to it. Generally, Rice-Boy will start out with a car that was not meant to go fast (typically a Honda Civic), and attempt to "fix it up," usually consisting of aftermarket rims, lowering springs and an aftermarket exhaust system with a large exhaust tip.
Most Rice-Boy cars (or "Rice Rockets") have the usual complement of stickers proudly displaying features that the car might or might not have, most notably, the Honda VTEC sticker from the later model Preludes, and the plaques from the later model Integras.
Rice-Boys do not exclusively drive Japanese cars. There are quite a few fake Mustang '5.0's and Camaro Z28's out there, as well as quite a few strange looking Neons. (From Bryan's Ricer page) A real NOS tank is like 1000$ where I live and not to mention illegal! Just for looking at a street race, its a 100$ fine. For participating, its a revoked lisense for 2 years, you lose your wheels and its a 1000 fine!

A real NOS tank is like 1000$ where I live and not to mention illegal! Hm, canisters are a little less then that here, but they can be filled dirt cheap if you go to some of the backyard garage type places. *SMH* Street racing is popular here, but it's pretty contained so police really don't crack down on it too much. I mean, they race under the freeway along the lakefront nearly every friday and the police rarely show up. LOL Instead they just ban 'crusing' on some of the main streets (because of shootings in a couple cases, so not just racing); if the police see your car twice in 10 minutes you get a ticket. (I speak from experience, a friend and I were driving to dinner and he missed the turn and turned around and got picked up for cruising. He contested it and won, but still.) Oh, and I just wanted to credit anti-rice for the Lumina photos... I removed their tag because it wouldn't have been funny if I posted the pics with it. LOL But I just want to make it clear that that's not my car... not that I'm not the type of person to put a cardboard spoiler on though. Mine would just have, at least, another level. rotf ;D

For just cruising? That's pretty sad. But in Montreal Canada, you can charged for having certain parts on your car. There's lights called Altezzas and if you have a certain brand, you can get a 300$ ticket. This is from MontrealRacing.com Mufflers: It's illegal to modify your muffler to make it louder than stock. Your muffler must have internal baffles to reduce the sound. Straight-through designs are illegal. Police can check this by inserting a tape-measure inside the muffler. (So if it makes a loud farting sound, its a 300$ ticket!)
Lights: You need yellow or orange reflectors on either side of the front of your car as well as red ones in the back. The actual turning signal light bulbs are allowed to be white or yellow.
Suspension. You're front wheels must have full range of turning motion without touching the fender. Watching street racing: 75$ fine I already explainedthe penalty for taking part in a street race. The thing is the street racers in montreal are between the ages of 16 to 21. These are little kids who are just starting out. They start off with something nice and simple like this: And then it ends up like this: And yes, the female passenger in this car died while the driver survived.
