Beer thief rolls out the barrel
BERLIN (Reuters) - German police arrested a 16-year-old youth on suspicion of theft after catching him rolling a 50 litre (90 pint) barrel of beer through the streets of the western town of Rheine, authorities say.
"He said he'd found it in a park and wanted to drink it, but we assume he stole it," said a spokesman for police in nearby Steinfurt. "These kinds of things don't grow on trees."
Police are still searching for the barrel's owner.
