Homeless Woman Wins $91 Million Lottery Jackpot
CARSON, Calif. -- Patricia Frierson moved into a motel because she could no longer afford her town home.
Now she's got plenty of cash for some new digs.
The California widow hit a $91 million lottery jackpot. She bought the ticket Saturday at a liquor store down the block from the motel she's called home for three years.
Sunday, Frierson returned to the liquor store, where the manager said she's been a regular customer. Her reaction when the computer verified her winning numbers: "I'm going to faint."
Frierson went to her factory job -- but went home in a limo.
The desk clerk at the EconoLodge said Frierson told her she'll be moving out. The new millionaire plans to look for a new place by the ocean.
