Eminiem's Ex-wife Kim Mathers Arrested
Eminem's (Marshall Mathers) ex-wife Kimberly Anne Mathers is facing possible cocaine possession charges after being arrested Tuesday (June 10) on a routine traffic violation.
According to a police spokeswoman, Mathers and a female friend were stopped by St. Clair Shores Police Department officers on Eastbound I-94 just north of 12 Mile Road at around 2:30 a.m. Mathers was driving a white Cadillac Escalade and was initially pulled over by officers for passing a stationary emergency vehicle without leaving a lane between her car and the vehicle, as is required by Michigan law.
Officer Margaret Eidt of the St. Clair Shores Police Department said that Mathers was arrested when officers determined that she was driving with a revoked license. When police searched her vehicle, they found two Ziploc bags containing white powder they suspected to be cocaine in the car's glove compartment, and yet another bag was found on Mathers.
"Ms. Mathers was placed under arrest for driving while license revoked,” Officer Eidt said. “An inventory of the vehicle was completed. During the inventory of the vehicle, suspected cocaine was located in the vehicle and also in the property of Ms. Mathers. Ms. Mathers was processed at the St. Claire Shores Police Department, and released pending formal charges."
The white substance was confiscated by police and sent for testing at the Michigan State Police Crime Lab in Sterling Heights. If the white powder is confirmed to be cocaine the lab results will be sent to the Macomb County prosecutor's office. The case is still being treated as an "open investigation," according to police. Mathers was previously arrested and charged with cocaine possession in 2001.
Hmmmm...I smell another Eminem song brewing about Kimberly.
