Drulady03 has been my inspiration for this thread when she made the comment in the "I Love You" countdown thread that hopefully, R&B is makin' a slow comeback. I couldn't agree with ya more!  With that being said, I would love to see the following singers/groups come back on the scene to show some of these popular, but non-talented, artists what real R & B is: 1. Sam Salter 2. Solo 3. Davina 4. Adriana Evans 5. Jaguar Wright 6. D'Angelo 7. Alphonzo Hunter 8. Carl Thomas

awww glad i could be of some help. On the real man I'm missing all this good r&b music. I'm tired of rap and hip hop, they've taken over long enough, let's get the real music happening again.

Most of the artists you've listed are gonna have albums out soon (Alicia Keys, Mary, Mya) Boyz2Men are losing credibility or something, i don't know, but their last album basically flopped..a shame, but their older stuff is still better  |

Yoooooo...DruLady!!! Gerald has made a comeback with LSG!!! ;D Did you see him and the guys on 106 and Park this evening?! They premiered their new video for "Friends". I wanna be Johnny's friend fo' real! But anyway, if their new CD that's comin' out is anything like the last one, then I'll wear this one out too! Oh yeah! Another one I forgot to add to my list was Tamia. On the way home, I heard that she'll be releasing a new CD in July. It's a shame that she's so talented but underrated!  |

Gurllll yessssssss i saw him! Brotha still looking Good. Mmmm Mmmm. I saw the show, and I was feeling the song and video. Levert, Sweat, and Gill was looking real good, and I'm looking forward to hearing this album also. ;D

I think Tamia is underrated also, I think Chante Moore is also!
But I would like for Mint Condition to come out with something! I think Dru can rip one of their old songs!

Show ya right about Mint Condition, adrufan! I have a friend that's a Mint Condition fanatic. He still plays their CD's 24/7--lol! But couldn't you juss imagaine Scola and Jazz taking turns singing lead on "Pretty Brown Eyes" or Woody singing lead on "You Don't Have to Hurt No More?!!!"  |

Show ya right about Mint Condition, adrufan! I have a friend that's a Mint Condition fanatic. He still plays their CD's 24/7--lol! But couldn't you juss imagaine Scola and Jazz taking turns singing lead on "Pretty Brown Eyes" or Woody singing lead on "You Don't Have to Hurt No More?!!!" Yes I can imagine!! I like the fact that Mint Condition is a band and I think that Dru sounds better with a band and perform better with a band (ie Blueprint!) I would like to see Dru do a whole album with live instruments or an "Unplugged"!!! Another group (back in the days) that I loved (in my Boyz II Men and Jodeci fanatically days, aww those teenage years LOL ;D) Is INTRO! I lost their first CD that I had when I moved a few years back (I made a back up tape which I haven't felt like looking for in the last 2 years or so though). My songs from that CD are "Come Inside" (wooooooo) and "Let Me Be". I also have their other CD "New Life" at work; I'ma have to bust that one out tomorrow (heh heh--thanks adrufan)! My favorite songs from this one are "Funny How Time Flies", "A New Life", and "Love's On the Way". I was so shocked when I saw Kenny on the cover of "Sister 2 Sister" magazine about a year before he passed when he discussed his life with AIDS (R.I.P.). He was such a cutie; but I had a crush on Jeff like I don't know what (his eyes played a big part in it--hee hee). Yes, yes good ol' Intro; they were very underrated like you said! |

Yes! an Intro fan!!! My favs off of the first CD is Anything 4 U and Don't Leave me as well as the other ones you mentioned!!! On New Life the song "Love Me Better" and There is a way!!! I think Dru could rip Love Me Better with Scola and Jazz on that one! LOL I I had to download the songs off of Kazaa (I'm bad) but I am gonna replace both of the CD's!!! When I saw that article in S2S I was shocked!!  AND then I was searching on the internet and typed in his name and there was an article that said he was deceased, and I was like, they just did an interview and he died already!!!  I was jacked up for a minute!!! |
